Hi group

Went on low carb on 06/09/03. Lost 25 pounds. Never hungry. But 3 months
into the WOE I changed it a bit:

1. Ate whole wheat products. Bread and pasta. Never gained a pound and kept
on losing.

2. Ate some tomatoe products. Never gained a pound

3. No desire for potatoes or white pasta.

4. No sweets. But I never liked them anyway.

Since 06/09/03

Kept weight off.
Found exercise works.
Found low-glycemic foods work for me. Meaning never binge

That's pretty much how I have done it this time around except I don't bother
with pasta.. stick to whole wheat bread a few times a week.. love tomatoes
and stay away from potatoes, except on the occasional weekend dinner out I
don't always have them sub steamed veggies for the potatoes. Real sweets are
very rare but don't often want them anyway. Hub and I took the kids to a
Coldstone Creamery last night.. they get free kid scoops with each A on
report cards. I ordered a chocolate dipped waffle bowl with white chocolate
ice cream and heath bar mix in... something I would have normally scarfed
down on in the past.. took two bites of the ice cream, one tiny chunk of the
bowl, then stuck it between the kids for them to share.. I found I didn't
even want it and didn't feel the least bit left out! I've lost over 40
pounds since around middle of last August.. still have around 20 to go. Last
time I did this a couple years ago I lost 57 and hated every minutes of it
because I stuck to carb limits too rigidly.. weight just fell off very fast
but it wasn't something to live with forever.. this way I can.
