Hello,

Had to come out of lurk mode to post this link:

http://www.wfsb.com/Global/story.asp?S=1606889

This is a story about how Atkins followers are not allowed to eat sat fat
anymore. Be sure to notice the accompanying picture, which illustrates
exactly the kinds of fatty foods that Atkins followers everywhere must
surely be eating huge quantities of everyday.

Perfect illustration of the profound ignorance of many Atkins-bashers.

I just sent them an email.  Here is what it said:

I am sure you did not write this article, however I would like you to
forward this on to who did so they can get their facts straight.

You people do not even do your own research for crying out load.  How can
you call yourself journalists.  According to your article the following
was said" "With this diet you can have salads and vegetables and nuts and
food variety that wasn't permitted on Atkins." she said"  How can you
post this BS in your article.  I am appalled.  Have any of you even read
the Dr. Atkins book.  I have salad every day, I have veggies every day,
twice a day and yes I even eat nuts, something you are for posting the
crap with out doing your research.   If I did my job the way you did
yours I would be fired.

Brian Fox
P.S.  My blood work is now normal since I have been on Atkins, I have
no mood swings like you female guest(menopause I would say) and I have
more energy than ever before.  My Dr. has now put her husband on the
diet, WOW!!!!

I think I hsould start email the Associated press, that is where they
said they got the article.  I think we should all email them.  I emailed
a group of them last night and one of them had the balls to say, well if
you did your research you would know that I do not work for the station.
I told him " If you name and email address is on the site than you
represent the station"  He never responded back to me.

I do have an email in to the production group that runs the company, they
have read the email but have not responded as of yet.

Lets see if they recant anything they said.

Actually no I am not.  I lost of 100 lbs on this diet, and I my blood
work improved to below so called normall level.  However, my wifes
brother who is a true vegitarian has a cholesterol lever of over 250.  I
got my clue when I lost my weight.

The clue you are missing has nothing to do with your weight.
