I have looked through the store-bought salad dressings and, for the
most part, many/most have very low sugar/carbs. As long as it's lower
than 2g carbs/sugar per serving, isn't this OK? I see many people
talking about making their own dressings but I've consulted both the
SB and Atkins guidelines (I'm personally on SB) and I don't see
anything wrong with the majority of Marie's dressings, for example.
Am I missing something? I appreciate the feedback.

My personal favorite is good seasons, the kind you mix with vinegar and oil.
It is 1 gram per serving.

There is nothing wrong with the commercial salad dressings, some people
here just like to prepare their own. It often tastes better than the
store-bought stuff. That applies to just about everything.

We use Good Seasons (mix at home), Paul Newmans Family Recipe Italian,
Maries (various flavors -- I like Super Blue Cheese, Ranch and Feta Cheese
flavored) and Hidden Valley Ranch - the full fat one NOT the low fat or fat
free.
