All I can say is -- wow.  The stupidity.   If I was articulate enough, I
would write a rebuttal.

Wow!  This article should win some sort of prize for "Atkins Bashing of the
Year."  This is not only chock full of misinformation and outright lies, it
could be downright dangerous if someone reads it and follows it like a
sheep.

"Sure it can help shrink the pot belly but dieters should check out the
website for the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine, which paints
a rather grim picture of Atkins."

Well if the article is based on that then I can see the problem. Its run by
a rabid vegan & total nutter.

This reads almost like a parody.  Sure, "roast beef [with] mashed
potatoes with lots of butter, swimming in gravy, alongside a nice
fresh loaf of home-baked bread" beats LC eating.  So there's
protein plus lots of fat and carbs.  No veggies.  And this article
cricizes OUR WOE!  Give me a break!

Don't forget this little nugget:  "Men just need to know one thing. The Atkins
diet can lead to impotence."  BWAHAHAHAAA!!  Seems to me that I've heard just the
opposite from the guys in HERE ;-)

Atkins can lead to impotence????

What's really sad is that abnormally high blood sugars (caused by eating a
high carb diet) most definitely DO cause impotence. It is one of the early
complications of diabetes and occurs because of diabetic damage to the
nerves and/or impaired circulation.
