That's correct roger.
I have noticed changes on my body now I can see I have chest and arms, but
the results arent the same like other who has about the same time they are
more bigger and RIP. I guess my undestanding is that if I want to get big I
might need to switch to a different DIET which is the oposite of atkins.
bummer...
If will try to do more research.

Yeah....if you want to pack on pounds of muscle, it's easier if you eat the
carbs along with the protein and good fats. You'll get some bodyfat along
with it, though. So you then switch back to LC to get lose the fat and keep
as much muscle as possible. You end up working in cycles.

I will agree, but I will add to this.
Both my brother and a very good friend of mine are bodybuilders. The only
time that they low-carb is right before a 'show'. They usually start their
diets 18-22 weeks out from the date of the show(cutting fat, calories, etc,
and eventually water). During the last week, they go low-carb. They say
this helps them to release the water from their body and helps their skin
get 'thin'. Just before the show (the or 2 before), they'll eat some carbs
to help restore the water to their muscles, making them look/feel 'full',
yet not enough to re-hydrate their skin (so it is paper-thin, stretched over
the full muscles). Immediately before the show and during the show, you'll
see bodybuilders eating VERY high amounts of simple carbs (jelly, chocolate,
sugar) to get their blood flowing, further engorging the muscles during the
'pump' just before they walk on stage and to 'pop' the veins (getting as
vascular as possible so their veins look like roadmaps on their body).

Yes, I didn't mean to imply that BB LC all the time....I meant that LCig is
frequently done by BBs as a means to get ripped. Sorry for that....
I'm not sure if I believe the part about rehydration of the skin, however.
I get the part about the muscles because water molecules go along with
glycogon, so depleting it causes water loss. I don't see why that happens
to skin, however. Also, eating the simple carbs -- taking in enough liquid,
while working to get a pump makes sense. Getting the pump going (via
lifting) is what gets the blood flowing.

If you know how it works, what's been holding you back?

I'll assume that this was meant for me.
Well, I'm extremely overweight and not interested in bodybuilding (at the
moment). I'm interested in losing the 'norb' from around my midsection.
Biking at the gym for 30 minutes a day and eating a rather strict
low-carb/lower calorie menu has worked for me in the past and is working
quite well for me now.
The way my brother does it is NOT a healthy way to lose weight, nor is it a
permanent solution. He normally weighs around 220 and *diets* to his 'show
weight' of 173-175. This is totally dehydrated, sucked out, RIPPED, and
under-nourished. I understand that. I guess that is what is holding me
back.
If I ever get into a shape that I'll be willing to put on posing trunks and
get up on stage with the 2 of them, then maybe I'll think about not 'holding
back'. Until then, I'll stick with my LC regimen and continue along my path
to fitness.
I hope that answers your question.

Yes, that answers the question.
Maybe you can find the happy medium between fat f.ck and extremely ripped.

That is exactly what my plan is. To be on the latter side of your eloquent
model. While I'm not looking to see the striations in my 'gluts' I would
like to be able to have pecs rather than tits, to see my abs, definition in
my triceps and quads(those last two bodyparts I enjoy working on
especially).

I feel about the same as you on the subject. I don't really go for
emaciation and dehydration. My favorites are triceps, quads and traps.
