Yes that is the more obvious answer. At the same time, all franchises and
chains make you adhere to strict headquarter guidelines, recipes and
products. Remember, consistency is key for those places, that's why when
you eat a Big Mac in Vancouver, it's going to taste the same as the Big Mac
in Seattle.

And yet, the fries that come with it will come with mayo and vinegar instead
of ketchup. Even in franchise there are cultural differences. If you have
ever had an Oreo sold in western Canada then you know that they bear only
passing resemblance to American Oreos dispite being made by the same
company.
