Yep.. fajitas were already low carb enough if you could leave out the
tortillas.. and some people don't have a problem with the onions (I don't)
and bell peppers, which I don't even like though so they weren't a problem
for me anyway. We have a place here we pick up and bring it all home so it's
easy enough to just have them on low carb tortillas without having to pay a
premium for *special low carb* versions. A small pitcher of BajaBob's for
margaritas.. and yummmm!

I went to the Don Pablo's site and was ASTOUNDED at the carb counts on their
regular menu. 179 carbs for the El Matador combination??? However, I
couldn't find a carb count on a single tortilla. Anyone know?

A newbie question: do onions cause stalls for some people? If so, why?

I am a Mexican Food freak! Love it, especailly Don Pablo's.
Going out for dinner next weekend, and was trying to figure out where
to go, eat something I enjoy. They have low carb Marguaritias too?
Wow! Thanks for sharing the info!

They are a bit higher in sugars than some vegetables, especially when
carmelized as they can end up when sauteed for fajitas.. It's just like
everything else with this way of eating.. you just have to see what works
for you personally. Onion are usually ok in small amounts but if you're
eating them with fajitas, I am sure that wouldn't be considered a *small
amount*. I LOVE them when they are grilled to the point of being brown but
still a bit crunchy.. you can notice the difference in the sweetness in them
at that point and there is no *onion bite* left to them..
