I reached goal on december 9th (50 pound below max weight about 40 pounds
below where i started low carb last may.

I had a lot of trouble, what with the holidays, and the fact that I was only
two weeks out of a second induction, moving towards maintenance in a
coherent fashion. I think I am there now, but am curious about other's
experience.
here are my questions:
1) trigger points. My weight goes up and down, but seems to be settling into
a routine. I have as a trigger point, anything 3 pounds over or 3 pounds
under my target weight (160) if it is 163 (been there once, I cut back a
little (smaller lunches, salad for dinner, drop the fruit off my keto
oatmeal. at 157 pounds down (been there 3 times) i add some meat for
breakfast and take leftovers for lunch. Is this a reasonable approach, or
are the brackets too narrow (or broad??)
2) Pseudo cheats. My wife, who is low carbing somewhat, but moving more
towards sugar busters in that she has limited amounts of whole grains (whole
grain pasta, whole wheat bread etc) I have joined her once or twice to no
real affect. Has anyone on maintenance incorporated regular servings of
whole grain products, a sort of cross between sugar busters and atkins?
3) Weekends. I believe i am detecting a pattern in that i tend to lose
weight on workdays (quick breakfast, lunches i can pickup as i head to work,
(apple, can of tuna, celery), but then gain on weekends when I am around
food all day as i putter about. Anyone else seeing a similar pattern?
4) Real cheats. Except for a small serving of regular (non whole grain)
lasagna at a party i could not avoid, I have not had a serious cheat since
the holidays, and by cheat I usually mean a sugary desert. What are people's
experience with real cheat days? Is it difficult to undo, can you prepare
for them easily? Most importantly, how often can they be and not be a road
to permanent weight gain?

If you really want to steadily weigh 160 without struggling, lose ten more
pounds and then let yourself slowly gain it back. That way you'll be able to
include more types of food in your diet, within reason. Gaining a little on
the weekends and losing a little during the week is also something I do
during maintenance.

Remember that some initial weight fluctuations during maintenance are
duet to glycogen levels (retained water) fluctuating.

To maintain steadier weight, which I think is desirable, do not
overeat salt and also eat same quantity of food every day.

Why do you think it is desirable to maintain a "steadier weight?"
