With DH being diagnosed with end-stage prostate cancer, I have totally
forgotten that Jan 17th was 1 year of LC. I started at about 220 got
to a low of 141 went on vacation came back at 153 (too many coco locos
and strawberry daqaris in the DR) and am now down to 147. I have only
been to Curves 1 time since Jan 9th. but I start a new life again
tomorrow. one of health and hope and enjoying every minute that Curtis
has left to share with me and the boys. no more ordering out for lunch
both days of the weekend at work, no more coffee/capp  each morning, I
am on a strict budget these days. no more ebay :(

Last year was officially the "year of Lor" this year and all those to
follow are the year of "us"
I thank whoever it was that directed me to
alt.support.cancer.prostate. It has helped a bit although our
situation if very unique in that Curt is 40 with metastatic cancer and
most of those guys were diagnosed in their 50s-60s.

So it is time to buck up and stay healthy. NO MORE CANDY FOR AWHILE!!
I came back from vacation with a renewed sweet-tooth so I need to
avoid Russell Stover's LC toffee squares. way too good!

take care all
Lori

Happy, Happy!  I always remember your anniversary because it is so near
mine.
I can't say that "I know what you are going through" with your husband, but
I do wish you the best!  Live every day for the moment!

Peggy

I've been thinking about you and your family a lot, Lori and was wondering how
you are doing.  It's good that you are taking care of yourself.  It's probably
also a good distraction.  I'm sending good vibes your way!

Me too. There really isn't much to say except how sorry I am to hear this.
I don't know whether it's appropriate for your situation, but if there's a
hospice program available you may want to check it out. They were a great
help with my mother.

Begin where you are - but don't end there.

Same here, Lori.  I admire your strength in the face of
adversity.  I wonder if I would be back to my bad old WOE.

I was sorry to see the news of what you and Curt are facing.
Sometimes Life just delivers a punch to the gut and it takes more
strength than we think we have to fight back.  Your attitude should
help see you through whatever the future bringsyour family.

Take care,
Carmen
BTW, please feel free to email if you need to vent.  Our husbands have
different cancers, but I suspect the journey is similar.
