A couple years ago, after doing a lot of research, I began taking Pantethine to
improve my lipids. The research indicated Pantethine could raise HDL and have
some effect in lowering LDL without side effects even when taken long term. It
certainly seems to have helped. My HDL is up 63%. LDL is down 21%. And Total
Chol./HDL ratio has dropped from 5.5 to 3.1. And no side effects. Researchers
suggested from 600 mg to 900 mg daily. I began taking a 300 mg softgel with
breakfast and another with dinner.
So here's my question: Because the body naturally produces more cholesterol in
the evening, doctors recommend their patients on statins take them with dinner.
Do any of our medical experts here know whether I would get greater benefit from
my Pantethine by taking the whole 600 mg with dinner instead of dividing between
morning and evening? Sounds like I might but I haven't found anything specific
in the research.

Hi,
I use Pantethine to treat acne and I am wondering too, what do people
recommend regarding when to take those softgels.
I wonder too what are the potential risks for young persons with
normal cholesterol, when using pantethine?
