We went out our friend house the other night and had the best dinner.
I thought I would share it with you. The appetizers... the best
deviled eggs I had ever tasted without pickle.... mayo, salt, pepper
and tabasco!!!, stuffed celery with cheddar and mayo,  shrimp, celery,
onion stuffed mushrroms OHHH! so buttery garlicy and delish!!! Then
dinner was grilled salmon, strip streak and cole slaw with a mayo,
vinegar and splenda dressing!!! I LOVE LOW CARB. We have been eating
deep fried chicked injected with butter, garlic and a splash of lime
and a splash of soy sauce. MMM!!!! The skin on it is like potato
chips! We fight over who gets the crunhies. My 5 year old wins!!!
Can't wait to do a turkey!!!!

How perfectly lovely to have friends to share with! That is how I make my
coleslaw.. always loved how my grandmother made it with the mayo, vinegar
and sugar.. realized it was simple enough to use splenda instead and I think
I like it even better than with real sugar.

Fried chicken?  I thought flour was off-limits?

I never read anything about flour anywhere.  Deep fried chicken described
that way seems like they prepped it by injecting butter, garlic, lime, and
soy sauce; then dropped the thing in the oil.

oh!  I guess I'm culturally ego-centric!  For us southern Americans, deep fried
chicken usually means dredging in a seasoned flour mixture before frying.

It's not coated in flour if she is talking about doing the chicken the same
way deep fried turkey is.. it's injected with liquid seasonings and then
lowered whole into a deep fat fryer OUTSIDE so you don't burn your house
down.. My dad has done turkeys like that for nearly everyone we know every
thanksgiving and christmas..

deep fried, injected with butter and garlic, then fried in one of
those outdoor turkey fryers LOL. the whole thing gets crunchy and
golden. Looks like kentucky Fried chicken in the whole.
