Does anyone have an easy, simple low carb bread recipe for a bread
machine.  I have seen some but they call for a lot of funky
ingredients
Thanks

Follow this link to a recipe that I have heard rave reviews about.
I haven't tried it yet myself, but the low carbers group at Yahoo
have all given it a thumbs up. Please use your own calcualtions for
the carb count based on the ingredients you use.

Tips to get it to work correctly:
1. Follow your bread machines directions on loading the ingredients.
2. Add 1 egg to the recipe (mix it in with the water and olive oil).
3. You can replace the oat flour with soy flour.
4. You can replace the flax seed meal with wheat bran.
5. Remove the paddles from your bread machine when it is done mixing all the
ingredients. Remove the pan, take out the dough and take out the
paddles.
If you don't remove the paddles, you will over work the dough and it
won't rise.

Best of luck,
Emanon68

This is one I absolutely LOVE>>>

     Low Carb Bread Machine Recipe

     1/2 cup water -- warmed
     1/2 cup cream
     1 tablespoon oil
     1 large egg
     1/4 teaspoon salt
     1 cup gluten flour
     1 cup oat flour
     2 teaspoons yeast
1 teaspoon sugar (to feed the yeast)

To your bread machine add the ingredients in the order given above.

Use the dough setting and take out and bake in a normal bread pan. 30
minutes at 375 degrees

60 carbs and 196 protein per loaf. You can get 15 slices, so 4 per
slice.

Jo-Anne,

<bowing prostrate before you>  My queen, my goddess...this is the
*BEST* low carb bread recipie I have ever tried--and, believe me, I've
tried a lot of them!  It actually turned into bread instead of an
unbakable blob of glop or a 1 pound doorstop.

It's not too sweet, nice and soft, really tasty, and uses easy
ingrediants.  I didn't have any oat flour on hand, so I just tossed
some rolled oats in the food processor--turned out fine!

I had essentially given up on trying to make my own LC bread, but I
thought I'd try your recipie and keep my fingers crossed.  Girl, you
have my undying appreciation!!!

Hugs,
dragon
