Where did you get your information about what induction is and
which foods are acceptable on induction?

Either look on that same source which told you what induction was
or look here:

The book I have is only on induction and the preparation for induction. It
says nothing about what happens after the first 2 weeks. I've gotten most of
my info from this group.

like someone said, go to your library, get The New Diet Revolution and
follow it to the letter. And eat no junk food.

What book is that?  I've never heard of an Induction-only book.

I have seen a Atkins book at the check out lanes at Wal-Mart.  Just a small
book to get you thinking similar to the small horoscope rags.

I've seen it on the shelf at WalMart.  The title was something like
"Atkins Essential 2-week Jump Start."  And the author is NOT Dr. Atkins,
but "Atkins Health and Medical".

This is very likely where the notion came from, that all the products
NOT allowed on Induction in Dr. Atkins' actual books are suddenly now
"allowed".

Personally, I think the title and author "name" stink of fraud.

Then it's the worng book.  Doctor Atkins New Diet Revolution
preferably 2002 edition is "the" book.  All other material by Dr
A, bu the Atkins Center, or by folks writing about Atkins are
supporting cast not the star.  Library time again.

One came out recently published by the Atkins Center.  342 pages
just on Induction.  Wow.  Also one of the two coomon video sets
has a red booklet that only mentions Induction.  I'm sure there
are an assortment of nutshell pamphlets that aren't by Atkins as
well.

Well, you have money for an ISP.
So go to the Atkins web site and read up on the rest of the plan.

For some, the varius specific diets for low carb are like religions.

There is a lot of missing information needed to help with your question.

How much do you weigh?
How many caerbs are you eating each day for the last 2 weeks?
How much do you want to increase the carbs?

The longer and lower you keep the carbs the sooner you may lose interest in
eating carbs.  However, it may take a month or two.

Having lost 12 pounds in 2 weeks you are likely to be in ketosis.  If you up
your carbs you risk stopping ketosis and stalling the weight loss.

Remember, 1 pound a week is a good weight loss rate.  you can't lose 6
pounds a week forever.

USe www.atkins.com to read about the different phases.

When you decide to leave induction you add 5g to your daily intake.
You up your intake each week, tracking your rate of weight loss.
Week3=25g
week4=30g
You continue to do this till your weight loss stops.
This number of carbs is know as your CCLL (Critical Carb Level for
Loosing). Below this number you will loose weight.
You can then come down from this number to resume weight loss.
Identifying your CCLL is important. Some people who stay on indcution
VERY long perionds (6 months+) complain about gaining weight. The
theory is the body metabolism adjusts and now your CCLL is 20 or less.

When you are close ( 5-10 lbs ) to your goal you enter phase 3. You
start adding 5g carbs each week continuing above your CCLL. When you
reach a level that causes actual weight gain, you've ID'd your CCLM
(Crit. Carb Level for Maintenance) You now know your maintenance
range. You can eat between your CCLL & your CCLM to maintain your
weight. The last few pounds you can work off physcially (exercise)
while on maintenance. But note that exercise may raise your actual
CCLL/CCLM level cause of the additional burn.
