This evening while at the market and grabbing for my
spinach leaves, I happened to see a dressing making
these claims at eye level.

Hmmm...  I'm game so I picked up a bottle.  It's from
Walden Farms (never heard of them before, but their
website is www.waldenfarms.com).  It's also Sugar
Free and Cholesterol Free.  And it's patented.

I bought the Caesar's and used it on a salad tonight.
It's actually pretty good. I'm going to pick up the Bleu
Cheese next.  And then perhaps buy some stock. ;-)

I was just on their website.  They also have BBQ sauce,
dips, pasta sauces (which I like to pour over omelettes
now), and a few other goodies.

And you can order direct.  Prices for the items are
pretty competitive to others, and shipping would be
high if buying only one or two items, but can be
fairly reasonable if buying more.

The Walden Farms dressings have been around for years. There was some
controversy concerning carb claims for some of their products, ketchup and
barbecue sauce, as I recall. The label lists tomatoes, which of course have
carbs, as the first ingredient, yet they claim 0 carbs. One online store
dropped them as a distributor as they would not answer inquiries as how
that could be. Don't know if I would trust their other claims or not. I
have used the salad dressings years ago when on a low calorie diet. They
were ok, but nothing to write home to ma about.

What exactly is patented?  Since when can one get a patent for a
recipe for salad dressing?   I've seen a lot of labels from them with
nutritional values that seem remarkable compared to similar products.

Ah!  They're flavored water, and there's so little flavoring, apparently,
that they can round down the contents of one serving (2 Tablespoons).

You can do this at home, yourself.

I've loved their Thousand Island for years - not so thrilled about the Ranch, tho.

A dear friend of mine in Florida mentioned the same thing
about the Ranch...  she simply decided not to try any others.
