I do not want to know where you get your bananas (or your brown
sugar). 1c brown sugar is 141g carbs loose or 214g packed. 1c banana
is 47g mashed or 31g sliced - about 1/4 the carbs per volume.

1/2c sliced banana is an excellent source of potassium, and has only
15g carbs. Should be fine for someone on OWL or maintenance.
> Dates? Raisins? Dried blueberries?
Dates - 117g/cup (2-3x banana)
Raisins - 108-123g/cup (2-3x banana)
blueberries (raw) - 17g/cup (USDA doesn't have an entry for dried)
The problem with your examples is that you listed two DRIED fruits to
compare to one RAW fruit. Compare with other raw fruits next time.

According to the package, 33 g carb -4 g fiber per oz.

Avocados, for my money, are the absolute best low carb source of potassium:
898.5 mg per raw fruit.

But how much in 1/2 cup?
(this is why I measure all my food in grams)

Is it true that long-term LC eating causes one to lose one's sense of
humor?
Oh, and thanks for letting me know how to do LC.

Judging by some of the respones in this newsgroup, that is definitely
one of the first things to go.
