"Trimspa" or Drugs?

Cubit - 10 Feb 2004 19:49 GMT I saw Anna Nicole Smith on Larry King last night. She looked like she was drunk or on drugs of some kind. She slurred her words and her eyes were dull. She says she still takes 2 trimspa tablets a day, even though she looks great. If trimspa is as powerful a stimulant as she says it is, I'll bet it gets banned. However, she did not seem wired like on amphetamines to me.
Early in the show Anna made a small shift in her seat and a loud fart was heard. I replayed it twice to be sure. I laughed so so hard.
She complained that she thinks she is too thin. I gather she keeps taking the trimspa because she is afraid her appetite will come back. It made me feel sorry for her.
She was having obvious memory problems. She could remember her playboy pictorial days better than recent events.
Lorraine - 10 Feb 2004 20:33 GMT I remember someone telling me when that show of hers came out that she has some sort of chronic pain issue. I don't remember the details. I do however remember them telling me that she's on all kinds of pain medication for it. Anyway, she's a very sad individual. Every time I see her or hear something about her all I can think about is how pathetic she is.

Debra D - 10 Feb 2004 20:39 GMT she was on live with regis and kelly today and looked great. I did hear them talking on the radio, however, that she seemed "drugged" on last night's larry king show. does trimspa just make you have less of an appetite? I did hear her say she does not crave food like she used to.

Perhaps I should give it a try. After all, if it took hunger cravings away from Anna, it MUST work!

I ate my two eggs and half a la tortilla factory tortilla for breakfast, and finally took another (one more) Trimspa at 11:00am today.
What I have noticed: I do NOT feel edgy, nervous, or fluttery I am NOT hungry, I actually have no desire to eat. My moods seem to be elevated... I feel happy today (though this could be a coincidence)
The ingredients list Hoodia Gordonii Cactus - which is what actually convinced me to buy/try it. I have a friend who has been taking Hoodia imported from Africa and has reported some great results. He hooked me up with an article about it: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/programmes/correspondent/2947810.stm This stuff seems legit -- and there's a patent out by Phytopharm on the molecule in it that fools your brain into thinking it's full. Anyways - so far, I am VERY pleased with my results.

I think I may give this stuff a whirl, especially with that price - $17.97! I will post and let you know how it works out :-)

The green tea might have some of an effect, but you'd be better off just taking green tea extract.
John - 20 Feb 2004 04:07 GMT Thanks for the info on Hoodia Gordonii (P57) ... looks like it might be the next craze to replace ephedra ... would be wonderful to much on cactus for late night snack and cure the hunger pains for 24 hours ...

The main thing that is stopping me is I am pretty sure it has a lot of caffeine. Is it less $$$ in the store than the trimspa website? Debra
The Dude - 20 Feb 2004 14:18 GMT Debra, I just purchased Trimspa last night at the local WalMart and the price was $17.97, just as Sonya said. However it is not a 60 count bottle, it is a 30 count box. At any rate I just took two Trim Spa capsules and I am interested to know it will make me feel later today. By the way, I did not see caffeine as an ingredient.
Thanks, The Dude

The Dude - 21 Feb 2004 22:05 GMT Well after 1 full day on Trimspa I am impressed with the results! I took two capsules yesterday at 8AM and didn't fell much different the rest of the day. However Today I am not hungry. I have had no hunger pains at all and I haven't eaten anything substantial other than some veggies.. I finally ate something at 4PM, but not because I felt hungry - just to put something in my stomach. This stuff is freaky! At any rate the results come, but - at least for me - it takes a day for the Trimspa to take effect.
thanks, The Dude

I am glad you are having some success! As for Fat Burning or loss - I don't think that this stuff is supposed to do that so much as just curb your desire to eat - specifically stuff you shouldn't!
As for Hoodia Gordonii - here's an update:
My buddy Ralph has been buying this stuff straight from Africa, and he finally got his latest purchase in (it took about 2-3 weeks from when he ordered it) and he gave me two capsules to try yesterday as a sample. Oh My Gosh. This stuff nulled my appetite completely. I took the capsules on top of a medium sized salad at 11:30 in the afternoon, and I had NO desire to eat again until 9:30 this morning - and that's just on two capsules. As a matter of fact, the thought of eating dinner last night actually turned me off. Anyways, I am so impressed, I am ordering some for myself today. Here is the URL: http://www.aloe.za.com/
However, since Ralph has ordered from a couple of different places so far, he recommends this one because it comes staright from Africa. The other bottles he has gotten have all advertised Hoodia, but have not had any effect on him and he felt like those were a waste of money.
This brand of hoodia that he let me try was much more effective than even the Trimspa X32 that I bought before, and so I am convinced that it must be the real thing. However, it is more expensive...
happy losing... sonya

Some versions of hoodia have 100mg in them as opposed to Trim Spa's 150mg. I'll definately check the link out. -The Dude

Jo-Ann - 27 Feb 2004 02:04 GMT Sonya, I checked out the web site you posted for the Hoodia. My only question is how safe is this to order giving one's credit card number to which goes to Africa? I would love to try the product but I'm afraid to order it over the Internet. Thanks, Jo-Ann
sonya - 27 Feb 2004 20:55 GMT > Sonya, > I checked out the web site you posted for the Hoodia. Ralph has ordered from this company two or three times now, with no misgivings. In fact he has corresponded with the supplier, who actually just asked him to write a testimonial for the site, which I thought was rather cool (now we can say we know that at least one of those wasn't a fake letter! :-) though I don't believe that his letter has been posted yet.
I order stuff on the internet all the time, though until now, never before from Africa (though from Australia, the U.K. and Japan) so I don't have any problems with using my credit card on the internet. The one time that a website that I used was compromised by a hacker (my own card number had not actually been used by the hacker) the bank that backed my card called me on the phone to let me know that they were taking care of it. They knew right away.
Anyways - I think it's safe enough, or at least no worse than using it any other time (you're always taking a chance). And if you still would rather not, then I am fairly certain they take money orders, or you could try emailing the guy and asking him if you could send him the money via PayPal https://www.paypal.com which will send the him a notice on how to retrieve his cash using his email to set up a paypal account. I like paypal alot, it is my favorite way to pay online. (ralph suggests that you could also try getting a pre-paid mastercard, he says that here you can get them from Tom Thumb, so if someone managed to steal the number, it would be worthless to them).
Anyways, I hope this all helps with your piece of mind! :-)

The Dude - 28 Feb 2004 00:52 GMT Sonya,
Does your friend Ralph know what the true dosage is for hoodia? Trimspa is 150 mg, but I'm not sure how pure it is. Plus I seen dosages for hoodia on the Internet all the way from 40mg to 1000mg. I am struggling with how much is the right amount to take. Just wondering?
Thanks, -The Dude

Ralph says he takes two capsules of his stuff in the morning, and that's it - and each one of those has 488mg in it - so I would say that's pretty darned close to 1000mg. Hope that helps!

But his very own accel products put out before his death have caffeine. Trimspa has caffeine. Atkins diet does not work as written.

jamie - 18 Mar 2004 18:47 GMT > See? > Thats what i am saying atkins diet does not work as written. > Atkins says no caffeine. > But his very own accel products put out before his death have caffeine. According to comments in one of the interviews of his widow, they sold off Atkins Nutritionals at some point. That was probably when they started coming out with sugar alcohol-filled products, because several editions of Atkins' book said to avoid sugar alcohols.
That was also probably when other utterly ridiculous but trendy quackery "Atkins" products such as the herbal diuretic/laxative "cleanse" pills started showing up in the Atkins product line.
The recent paperback titled something to the effect of Atkins Quick-Start is from Atkins Nutritionals (Info Division) and not by Dr. Atkins, and contradicts quite a bit of what Atkins wrote about induction-appropriate foods in several editions of his book.
Also, the atkins.com website is owned by Atkins Nutritionals, so of course they are pushing the crappy products all the time, and claiming they're appropriate for every phase of the diet.

There's willow bark in Metabolift and many other herbal stacks. It's typically included as an herbal "alternative" to aspirin, because the salicins provide some pain relief like aspirin does. However, aspirin (acetylsalicylic acid) was specifically developed *because* the salicins in willow bark and other plants are very rough on the stomach.
There is also no evidence that willow bark inhibits prostaglandins, which is the purpose of the aspirin in the ephedrine/caffeine/aspirin stack.

Thanks for explaining that so clearly. I guess I've been pretty loose about thinking of the Willow Bark as aspirin, since I've learned from your post that aspirin is an improvement and not just the trade name of an end product.
