So far so good. The stall I've been complaining about finally appears to
have broken. I'm down to 212, from 216 a few days ago. The 212 probably
won't stick right away, but it's good enough for me - that's the 25 lb.
milestone.

Still holding at 216, I probably won't move from here until after Aunt Flo
leaves, but that's alright.

I hope I can, because I sure started weak. As of this morning, I'm down
one pound for the month of February.
But a) down is the right direction, b) my glucose is excellent and c) Bob
Pastorio's post about mypetfat tells me that one pound of fat gone is a
wonderful thing.
So I'm happy, even if I'm a little behind in my Challenge.

Carol Ann,
I'm down today to 225 for a total of 4 lost so far this month. I
don't know that I will make my goal which was 7 since my getting off
track on Valentines weekend slowed me down for a good bit, but on the
bright side I got beyond it and am moving along again. Going through a
lot of really hard things right now and fighting to not give up on
taking care of myself as I have done in the past; I feel so much
better eating this way and it's nice to see the scale move as a bonus.
I think being part of the challenge helped keep me from turning a
small meltdown into a traditional giant leap backwards, so thank you
for having it =)

I'm only down 2 instead of the 6 I wanted to be. But at least I'm in the 140's (149)...I'm disappointed I've not done better this month, but maybe pretty soon things will start moving again. This is the first time I've signed up for Challengers...other months I've lost closer to 10 lbs. Oh well. Keep going. I'm only about 14 from goal.

Jerry here with a disappointing post of a weight finally stabilized instead
of the 5 pound loss I was after. After fluxuating 3 up 2 down for a month
and a half, I am delighted to stay put. Now maybe I can get serious and go
on down. Well I hope so anyway!

166.5 only 1lb to go in 9 days. If my TOM doesn't mess things up with the
short month I will make it. Carol Ann I think the challenge is going great.
During the last few days of the month I really kick it into gear if I am
getting close. It is good motivation.

Gracias. I like to share my LC experience with the rest of

bad are both posted. It is nice to know that there are

It is a good motivator - I know I at least need to lose 5 pounds each
month, and it feels good to achieve that goal. The encouragement
really helps, because 5 pounds a month isn't nearly as fast as I
thought the weight would come off. The fact that it's a realistic
goal for many of us make it a motivator, rather than a demotivator.
I'm down 1 more pound, which should put me at my goal.

No difference, but then I chose the standard 5lbs. I'm down another
pound to 228 today. It's painfully slow this month, I put it down to
being cold!

Good afternoon!
Just wanted to give my results at this point. Down to 206. Not sure
how this happened as my mom passed away from her struggle with cancer
last Saturday night and I had spent 5 days in the hospital with her.
Any one of you who have tried to eat on plan during a crisis situation
and not being able to cook meals for yourself know what I am refering
to. Anyway I am down to 206 and have one pound left to lose for the
monthly challenge.
Keep up the great work everyone!

I am sorry about the loss of your mother. But, you did good with the
weight loss. Take care of yourself.
Boukie - 21 Feb 2004 20:40 GMT
Janet,
My mom passed away the morning of January 9th and I think I lost 8 pounds in
just that one day (after having gained so much more during her hospital
stays over the previous months).
I'm sorry for your loss. Hang in there.

I am pleased to report that as of Sunday I am still at 301,
which is a victory.
Also, my measurements are the lowest they've been so far. I
have lost 3.5 inches off my bust, 8 inches off my waist, and
7 inches off my hips. (I did a little figuring, and, if I were
perfectly round at my hips - so that I could use the
circumference of a circle formula without too many errors
creeping in - then my calculations show that at my hips I
am 2.25 inches smaller in diameter. :) Movie theatre
seats, here I come.
It's fun to set my own goal, but I count any loss in a month
to be a success. It is nice, with the five pound challenge,
to realize that it is rare for people to lose more. That's
a useful piece of information.
Thanks for your hard work, Carol Ann. The Challenge in
either form helps a lot.
April.
Put out the cat.
