Entenman's "low-carb" pastries

I suppose it was only logical that Entenman's would come up with a
"low-carb" line of goodies since they have a "low-fat" line.  I don't
know if Entenman's is local to New England or the Northeast but
anyway...I walked into the supermarket this morning and
ta-da...there's a BIG display stand at the front of the store
featuring Entenman's new low-carb cakes and pastries.  I looked at the
box of pound cake and the first or second ingredient was malitol (sp?
you know, that stuff).  I didn't buy any of it,  but that's just my
choice.  It's out there...expect more of low-carb everything in the
future.

Cakes and pastries are not low carb.

I've never had the low-carb cheesecake, but my mom's cheesecake used to be
really yummy.  My favorite non-chocolate dessert is still hot apple pie ala
mode, but there's absolutely no way I would ever even want to taste some
half-assed low-carb crap version of that.

I seen it too at a Krogers grocery, while doing weekly shopping today.
I did some double takes, then decided against it. Read too much about
not buying them sorts of items  here, and all that came to mind. I
also in the past week, bought some low carb bars, and decided to
forget about buying them. Took the advice on the yogurt, picked up
ingredients for that, instead of the dannon low carb ones. Had some
for a snack earlier, it was very very good. It said on most of them
snacks, it was 9 net carbs. I said to myself, thats like eating a
lunch or dinner with them many carbs, no way! Wouldn't fill me up,
then it would set off cravings for other things.

I saw them in both Shaws and Stop and Shop today. All of them (pound
cake, brownies, chocolate chip cookies, and crumb/coffee cake) had
maltitol.

Back when I ate carbs, I recall thinking that the Entenman's regular
stuff wasn't all that good (and the fat free brownies that a friend
brought for dessert when I was making dinner were wretched!). Still, I
had to stop myself from grabbing a pound cake. I didn't actually *want*
pound cake...

I bought the brownies and the blueberry muffins.
Mainly cause my Master is diabetic, and I try to give Him
an alternative to sugary things every chance I get.
The brownies were wonderfuly fudgy and honestly I could eat the whole
box of muffins if given the chance they are so airy and light (first ing
is eggs)
YUMMY!
I wonder though if the Low Carb governing council will find the
labelling wrong!

Ummm, NO, subbie is grammatically incorrect!
Not only that but since their is no real word yet you may spell it how
you wish!

I occasionally still post here just for the few good people that are on
here!
However 5 of the good people left with me when they saw the nasty,
jealous bitter way you treated me.
DID YOU NOTICE THEY LEFT?
Probably not!
I used to think this group was drama, and jealousy free and nice, but
its really just the same old same old.
Hidden jealousy, peple faking they arent eating junk just so they can
stay part of the clique etc.
Thats why you jump all over ppl, INSECURITY AND GUILT!
NO TRUE HONESTY!

I said she was silly.. but do concur with your assesment as well.
And trust me preesi honey.. you might think you are subbie subby..
whatever.. but from someone in the lifestyle since way before you were born

qualities of an online wannabe.

The "lifestyle" is what YOU make it to be.
NOTHING is written in stone. You do know that right?
You do know that there are several different varying degrees of
submissiveness, do you not?
BDSM encompasses everything from liking to be called nasty names all the
way to caging or higher.
The "Lifestyle" is what you and your partner agree upon, not what some
book says, hence the comunication , contract and safeword, DUH!
There is no "Right" way to do "The Lifestyle"!
I happen to be a 24/7 sub with a REAL Master.
Its strange as of yet I still havent been nasty to anyone here,
including YOU, so I guess at least my Master is doing His job.
Sorry it seems we cant say the same for yours, if you indeed have one,
but maybe thats why you are so childish and negative, "Mommy, Im gonna
killfile her, wah wah wah!"
So if you think Im a wannabe, think it. But Ive been around enough
Masters  (2 owners of s&m clubs) that tell me Im the real deal.
Are you the real deal?

BTW- its screamingly obvious why you never wanted me here.
And its a green and childish reason.

My self worth isnt tied to my weight, its too bad yours is otherwise you
wouldnt be so nasty to ppl!

This is *not* the place for your childish attempts at this particular
conversation..
Most here are adult enough to know that. And most have not appreciated your
silliness at being so obessed with *celebrities* and the like. This is a low
carb support group.. not a group for the wacko stalkers who have to live
their lives through what goes on in the media because their own personal
life is so sadly lacking.. And believe me, none of us care about your
lifestyle.. however as I said, this *is* a low carb support group.. not a
group for discussing your personal issues that have nothing to do with
dieting or anything anywhere near related. We have already told you that you
will not be missed if you leave here.. why are you still bothering us?
Get a life of your own dear... you truly need one from what I can see.

So, I take this attempt at stopping dicussion of this matter any further
by lamely saying "this is not the board to do this" when YOU brought the
matter up and I defended myself and corrected you, to be a resounding
"NO, preesi, I have no idea what I am talking about and I have no Master

Well, lets see here....
I came here to learn, share, and chat about low carbing.
I ONLY did JUST that!
The ONLY time I brought up sex was when someone else brought up aspects
of my website or pictures!
I was NEVER nasty, even when cornered!
Sure, I guess my over the top way of coming on this board and posting
tons of stuff may have stepped on a
few toes, after all EVERY board has its regular players that assume
specific roles! But there was NO other reason BUT jealousy and childish
cattiness to be nasty to me.
People are nasty for REASONS, and if you look hard at the OBVIOUS then
its quite apparent of the reasons
here!
JEALOUSY and INSECURITY!
And Im taking you to task for it!

Dawn, Look at my original post in this thread, I stated SIMPLY that "My
Master is diabetic"!
(WTF Else should I call Him? Hes 52 yrs old not a BOY)
I was NOT BRAGGING or saying "My Master f.cks me so good even though He
has diabetes and I have to
buy Him Entenmanns cakes" WAS I???
NO!
TEEBS was the one HIGHLIGHTLING it and showing her IGNORANCE and
jealousy!
Otherwise she would have not commented!

You're just jealous and you can kiss my a.s!

BTW- since quitting Atkins Ive dropped 12 pounds!
Dr Hays says my familial history does not support Atkins!

No, you can call him your "master" all you like. But keep in mind that
most people find this sort of thing unusual -- and many find it
distasteful. Me, I couldn't care less about your kink ... but you're
living in a fantasy world if you think that you can just toss stuff
like that off in a general-interest newsgroup and not raise any
eyebrows.

And I don't think you're _quite_ stupid enough that you aren't fully
aware of that. Judging from your past behavior in this group, I'd
wager that you think it's adorable that you're presenting yourself as
some fella's s/m sperm repository. But you know what? It's not
adorable. It's more information than most people need, you know it,
and you get a kick out playing the wounded "subbie" that everyone's
picking on.

Have you met Chris Taylor, Jr.? You two have a lot in common.

Oh, blow me. Believe me -- I'm not jealous of an immature, barely
literate pinhead who gets her kicks from worshipping some pony-tailed,
leather-clad, aging hippy who thinks that a woman's proper place is
crawling on her knees and eating out of a dog dish. And who has a
child, but never thinks about the fact that she's sharing her sex life
with the whole freakin' Internet.

What you do -- and who you do -- is your business. But if you fail to
keep it your business, you lose the right to complain about people
commenting on it. And if you honestly believe that everyone who finds
fault with you is jealous of you, then you're an even bigger idiot
than you already appear.

Well, I cant be THAT immature seeing that I became independantly wealthy
at age 23,
and most of the Masters who want to "date" me are Multimillionaires (I

Immaturity is a person who puts down others with hatefull jealous words,
I have NEVER done that in here!
Immaturity is jealousy! Thats YOU!

And a cardiologist/health radio show Doctor with vacation home off the
coast of Florida who lives closeby and I spoke with on the phone and
heard on the radio so I know he exists!
Im far from shallow and wasnt like most women about their money.
The horsefarmer turned me off with his f.cked up grammar (ITS NOT "WUT?)
And the Cardiologist was far too pretentious for me.He STILL emails me
trying to get me!

BTW I have no "Email Supporters" however, 3 of the 5 ppl I spoke about
leaving with me ACTUALLY TOOK THE TIME TO GET TO KNOW ME AND MEET ME ON
PALTALK!!!!!
They loved me, they know who I am.
And they thought you were nasty from Jealousy!

People who cant be themselves, who arent comfortable in their own skin
like I am are ALWAYS jealous of ppl like me!

I am a freespirit, with a freemind and mouth who just wants to share
with everyone. You can close your mind and think thats being boastful,
but thats your jealousy speaking.

Its just like if you are single and you come across a kissing couple in
public, you get that twinge of hurt and jealousy!

Why else would you respond?
Evidently "something" got to you.

AND, if nothing did bother you TRULY then dont further respond Dawn!
LET IT GO!
Just the very fact that you responded shows something!
BTW- My best friend has a background in Psychology, she used to be a
Criminal Social Worker for the KY DOC. Shes read a few of the posts in
here and told ME several times NOT to pay you any attention since its
obvious you are jealous!
She said the ones that arent jealous dont care enough to respond!

I guess shes right!

I'm not sure if you're aware of it, but patting the hand of someone
that you don;t want to tell the truth to and saying, "There there,
honey, those people are all just jealous" is the oldest -- and most
dishonest -- comfort technique in the book.

Okay, you win. I'm jealous. I'm not responding to you because I have
an unfortunate habit of toying with idiots on Usenet. Oh no ... it's
jealousy. <smacks head> I'll bet I'm jeal;ous of the bigots and
sexists and the mentally deranged that I chewed up and sat out over
the years, too! I'm jealous of all of you!

That's SO it. Jealous of you.  I wish that *I* was obsessed with
famous people, blathered at uncaring strangers about my sex life, threw
tantrums like a six-year-old when they didn't praise me, played
Whipping Post Lolita for a man twice my age, was utterly and
completely self-absorbed and couldn't write my way out of a paper bag.

Yep. Jealousy. You win.

I'll just killfile you now so I don't have to have your clearly
superior life rubbed in my sad, jealous face.

being able to find someone worthwhile their own age.. or something like
that. So sad that is the only way some females can make themselves feel like
someone loves them.. sigh

It wasnt a "comfort technique!"
It'd be wholly different if I didnt have friends and I was lonely at
summer camp and my mommy was telling me that.

You know what?
You are just trying to Remuddle words!
You know datgum well that I only used that to show HER!
I have known who and what I am since I was very little.

Its really very strange to me that all I did when I was here and on the
diet that all I did was be very nice and helpful and never was mean or
nasty to anyone, yet I was constantly barraged with nastiness and
accusations.
You know why some of you were nasty?
Because insecure people HATE people who can be themselves and do not
have to cow down to other to stay part of the clicque!
You are all afraid of each other, afraid that if you fail on the diet or
dont go along with the crowd on bullying others that you will be heavily
admonished!
You ALL eat the low carb fakes but will never tell the board for fear of
reprisal and ouster!
You are afraid of people like me that can be themselves and that dont
cow down!
And of ppl like me that are blunt and honest!
And you are jealous!
And you want me gone because I represent everything you will never be
and that kinda sucks!
Well, I got money, brains, witt, SEX, I can cook and sew my a.s off andI

Are you sure you're old enough to ask those kinds of questions, Katie?
If you can submit your birthday (month and year - don't want the
psychos to have too much info) maybe Preesi will ask her Master if she
can tell you.  Or maybe she'll just do it anyway so she gets a
spanking.  <G>

Name 'em.  You can't because they don't exist.  No "good people" have

Entenmann's has an outlet bakery in Denver that I used to go to for very
cheap bread and bagels.
I never liked their dessert items much.  I saw the "low carb" ones in the
store but didn't give them a second glance.
No more Entenmann's anything for me, low cost or low carb or not.

I really, really liked a couple of their pastries back in the day. But
the things are so heavily loaded with preservatives that I'd always
end up burping old-pastry taste for hours afterward, and it just
wasn't worth it.

I saw those too and looked at the ingredients.  Why is maltitol so
high on the list?  That's disgusting--and poor thinking on
Entenmann's part.

It's strawberry season here in Florida and I bought some lovely ones today
along with an Entenmans's pound cake and some whipping cream. It was great
and I was very happy with the taste and texture. IF you are willing to have
one slice at 9 grams carb it is great for maintenance which I am on. I
wouldn't recommend it for anyone that is too easily tempted though:) FTR, it
did not give me tummy problems but I did eat one slice. I have learned that
I can have foods that I love and it's OK. If I couldn't enjoy food that I
enjoy, I couldn't stick to that WOE. This product is very good and I may try
another of their products...no big hurry.
