Sseaott - 02 Mar 2004 01:38 GMT Late this afternoon I started getting that "light headed" feeling, and kinda dizzy feeling and I still have it. Man is it kicking my @ss! Today is day 1 of induction, will I be better tomorrow or will it not get better until the 3rd day?
Thanks.

Perhaps that is incorrect, looking back at the message, the top attribution was to JC but there were several messages with no snipping so you may have been replying to Becky.

Rick - 02 Mar 2004 03:41 GMT My first 2 days were really bad - I almost thought that I wasn't going to be able to do it. But then by the 3rd day, I felt better - I'm so glad I was able to punch thru those 1st 2 days - I've lost 29 lbs since the beginning of the year. Hang in there.

I hope I have results like you did. I was just trying to share my experience as everyone else is, but I get flammed for it by the lovely JC Der Koenig. I'm only 19 years old, I don't know everything and I shouldn't be flammed for asking or sharing my experiences. Yeah, I'm sensitive but come on, this crap on these groups are absurd. Why not just answer a question with a direct answer instead of trying to tweak with someones head? I don't understand it at all.

There are plenty of people here who have been successfully lcing for a very long time and the good posters share the information with us instead of throwing out smartass remarks or insults.
Congrats on making it through day 1.

Tara. - 02 Mar 2004 05:24 GMT Most people feel like this for the first couple of days, then it goes and you feel better than you have in ages. I came right about day 4, after headaches and feeling crappy. Some people comment on it being like "detoxing" from the carbs - who knows if this is right.

Today is day > 1 of induction, will I be better tomorrow or will it not get better until > the 3rd day? YMMV on how long it takes to feel 'better'. For some it's the second day, for some the fifth, for some even a bit longer. I knew exactly when I started burning my glycogen stores, even without having the strips to check it - I had to pee every two hours or so, even had to get up in the middle of the night to go, LOL (which is something I never have to do).
Even if today isn't better for you, just remind yourself that first of all, the end result will be well worth it - and secondly, it _will_ pass. It gets much, much easier as you go along, and by the end of the first week you should be seeing improvements in your weight, your energy levels, your overall mental outlook, and your sleep. Atkins claimed that ketosis was 'better than sex' - I don't know if I'd go _that_ far <g>, but it does make you feel pretty good.
Congrats on making it through the first day!!

I doubt you are eating enough food. This is not a starvation diet. Water is also a key. It seems most people feel better after 3-6 days of the Induction phase.
