I found Low Carb 3net Carbs. Low Fat 2G.
Tortillas at the Health Food Store today.
They are from La Tortilla Factory and
they are Great.. Itwas good to have my Tuna
rolled in one instead of just sitting on a bed of Lettuce.

That's a Big 10-4, Good Buddy!  I had a great quesadilla last night with 2
small whole wheat tortillas, 2 slices of salsalito turkey and 2 slices of
pepper jack. Mega yum.  This morning, I had one wrapped around a chunk of
kielbasa. Sure hit the spot and so far they haven't kicked off any bread
binges.

and therein lies my fear ... I never saw a piece of bread I didn't like and
I am not sure I could eat even a lo-carb wrap without it setting off a
sandwich-fest, as it were.  Maybe I'll get some of these and look for the
right time and moment to try one.  Thanks for the tip.

John:

I consider myself a SERIOUS bread-aholic and the tortillas actually *scared
me* when I saw them. Husband loves anything in a tortilla, so I did buy
them, but then thought for awhile I couldn't possibly eat one without going
on a bread-binge or at least have to deal with huge bread-cravings. I had
one, it didn't happen. In fact, I'm pleased to say I can take or leave the
tortillas. It didn't trigger anything at all... tasted OK, was a nice
change, but that's about it. YMMV of course.

I think it helps that they look NOTHIN' like a piece of bread. I've never
had a big tortilla habit, thank goodness.  I don't think I'll risk the low
carb bread, though.  If the price doesn't keep me away, fear of a wall-eyed,
slobbering,  run amuck, crazy in the kitchen, bread-craving attack will ;-)

As usual in life, the advice ranges from 'it had no ill effect' to 'run
amuck, crazy in the kitchen, slobbering bread-eater' (a wonderful image by
the way) and now I have to find my place on the continuum.  I am grateful
for your reflections and quite aware there are no easy answers ---  but that
there are answers to be discerned and embodied.

I appreciate the support of this group after I butted into this thread.
Thank you.

BTW: I am leaning away from the bread ..... I too slobber and run amuck
..... (a wonderful image by the way).

Peace

The local Walmart now carries  the 'Mission' brand of low carb
tortillas.  Several sizes.   The small ones are Net 4 grams carb each.
They also NOW carry the Heinz New One Carb ketchup and Carb Options
Barbecue Sauce.

We have two Super Walmarts in my area and I can't seem to find lo-carb
tortillas in either one of them. Are they stocked with the regular
tortillas, or in another dept.?

They were with the other tortillas, on the bread isle.

The Wal Mart area managers are allowed to bring in products on their own.
They might not be in all the Wal Marts.

In the nearest one to me I saw Buena Vida tortillas in the dairy case.

Take care,

Kroger get $2.99 for 10 small la tortilla tortillas and mission
tortillas.  Pretty steep.

You get off light!  My Kroger carries La Tortilla tortillas but
they're $3.59 for either size (I think someone screwed up the pricing,
but whatever.  I don't buy them there).
The Buena Vida brand are $1.76 at Wally World for the small (taco)
size (8 pack).  I've never seen the Mission brand lower carb tortillas
anywhere so no info on those.

Take care,
Carmen
