Has anyone tried this?  I know there was a discussion on this before.  Does
anyone have the link about it?  I bought this which is a cactus plant grown
in South Africa that is supposed to suppress hunger/appetite.  I am going to
give it a try.  I am wondering if anyone know more about this or has tried
it.  I have never taken anything like this before, no diet pills/appetite
suppressants etc.  It says to take two tablets a half-hour before each meal,
but my bad time of day with cravings is between 2-6pm, so I am thinking I
would just take it 1-2 hours after lunch and that's it.  I would think it
would work whenever you want to take it correct?  Any input on this product
would be helpful, thanks.

Go to Google.com or any search engine and type in "Hoodia" and you will get
many, many sites that sell it.  The cheapest I saw was $12 for a month's
supply.  I'm tempted, too, but quite honestly, killing my appetite is not
THE problem.  Eating wrong foods and too much of them is THE problem.  Since
when did not being hungry stop me from eating?

Let us know how it works.

*nod, nod* Or me, Jean. Our family also practiced preventive eating -
eat so you won't get hungry.

here is a link to an article (there are quite a few others, but this
is only link I actually remembered to bookmark! :-)

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/programmes/correspondent/2947810.stm

and here is the site that I just ordered from; my friends Ralph has
tried three different brands, and felt that the first two he tried had
no real (or significant) amount of hoodia in them.  This one he got
and liked very well, he gave me a sample to try, and I was impresed
enough to buy some for myself.  Hope this Helps.

I take your statement to mean you experienced appetite suppression
following the ingestion of the above hoodia supplement.  Is this the
case?

Thanks!

Definitely - I lost interest in food when I took it.

I also am trying it now and find that if I take too much it has a hangover
effect for me. I get tired also I get headachy sometimes if I take too much.

It does help but Im not sure how I feel while taking it, it kind of changes
you mood. I will know more after I have more expirience with it but I have
found I do eat less on it.

I also suspect I can become a bit dehydrated on it, as I said I have to take
it for a while more to reall understand it.
