Hello:

From what I've read on Atkins, MOST breakfast cereals should be avoided.
But, there must be some that are low-carb, high fibre and without sugar.

Does anyone here know if such a cereal exists? and if so what is it known
as?

Try ground flaxseed.

South Beach calls it Whole Grain Oatmeal.  I find that one serving fills me
up until lunchtime....

The Whole Foods store here has Hi-Lo which has 5 g. carbs in 1/2 cup.
Tastes pretty good with with a few added strawberries and a pack of
splenda and Hood Low Carb milk or unsweetened soy milk.

Try hot oat bran cereal, it is very filling and full of fiber and good
carbs etc.

I like Kellog's All-Bran, High fiber.

You've got to get the high fiber type.  Maybe once or twice a week served
with half n half.  Helps keep you regular, too.  This is ok for OWL and
Maintenance, not for induction, however.

I don't know about high fiber I buy keto cocoa brand and now atkins blueberry .

I always have cereal on hand for the days I don't really feel like a big meal.

The Atkins cold cereals are awesome.  Low carb and I think just as
good as some of the regular cereals.  Put some low carb milk on, and
enjoy.

1. I believe the Name is "All Bran Extra Fiber." The "Nutrition Facts"
label states it has 20 grams of carb/serving with 13 grams of dietary
fiber and 0 grams sugars and 7 grams Other carb.

2. Other low carb cereals include Atkins Morning Start Cereals (3 to 5
grams carb/serving); Hi Lo Cereal (5 grams carb/serving), among others
(Keto cereals, hot and cold; and flax seed based cereals, etc.)

You definitely have to calculate cereal into the carbs for the day or week.
The Kellog's mentioned here is a good choice for a relatively low-carb
cereal with decent taste at a not super inflated price.

Watch out with all the fiber.  I don't exceed 3/4 cup per "dose."

I have used whipping cream but now I see Hood low-carb milk may be a better
Low-carb choice.

I make my own with ground flaxseed (2 tbl), hazelnut meal (2 tbl) and either oat
flour or (this time around) protein powder (1 tbl).  I may then add a 1/2
teaspoon of either a) cinnamon, b) maple flavoring (NOT extract, though, which
tastes disgusting in it), or c) cocoa powder.  Currently I really like the maple
flavoring (I get it and coffee flavoring at Whole Foods).

I jumped into experiment mode this morning and ground 2T of flax and
1T of sunflower seeds, added sweetener, cinnamon, hot water, and a
spash of cream. Slime city. I gagged. I don't gag often. It seems like
any liquid does this to the flax. I've tried barely grinding, grinding
to a pulp, pulverizing. It's all slime. I haven't tried eating the
whole seeds, but then I wouldn't get much benefit from it.

Add some bran.  That gets rid of that slimy taste.

Or try adding oat flour or protein powder.

The whole seed also has the slime factor, I have tried that too, <g>.  If
you eat it really fast you can get it down before it really slimes up, but
who wants to make a race out of eating breakfast?

You might try either Flax-O-Meal or Gram's Gourmet Cream of Flax (both
available from Netrition, IIRC).  I haven't tried the Flax-O-Meal yet, but
the Gram's is pretty good.

I also like the Nutlettes To Go (soy cereal with powdered soy milk
included - just add water).  4g carb per serving, you can eat them hot or
cold (I prefer cold), and no slime whatsoever, <g>.  They're available from
Atkins, though they aren't an Atkins product (I think they're made by Dixie
Diner).  They also make them in a regular version without the soy milk
powder included.  They're crunchy, in taste and texture are about like
Grape-Nuts.

Cereal is not low carb.

Most of us probably aren't in danger of eating too little. :)

We make cereal from a recipe we saw here.
3 tablespoons R&L Vanilla Whey powder from Costco (sweetened with sucralose)
2 tablespoons flax seed meal
1 tablespoon wheat bran.
Add cinnamon to taste, mix, mix, mix.
Add hot water until it's the consistency you like.  You can either top it with
a few strawberries or some other fruit if you like and your milk/cream of
choice.

Not bad.

We make it up in a big batch and store it in an airtight container, so it
becomes:

3 cups R&L Vanilla whey powder
2 cups flax seed meal
1 cup wheat bran
1 tablespoon cinnamon

I've been weighing out 1 oz of the Atkins cereal for 3-4 carbs depending on
the variety. I hate the $3.50 price tag, but it is a balanced breakfast or
dessert since its sweet.
1 tablespoon of cream to 1/3 cup of water adds only 1 more carb for the
milk- I can't taste the difference between the watered down cream and whole
milk.

I rank Walmart LC Granola and Trade Joes More&Less Apple/Cinnamon in
the top tier of cold cereal.  All the Atkins varieties are mid-range.
At the bottom, Keto Cocoa Crisp I found rather bland and HiLo
Strawberry had that well-rounded cardboard taste.  I seldom return
things, but HiLo was one of them.  As posted previously, a few
strawberries and walnuts will make almost any breakfast cereal
tolerable.

If I was going just by taste, I wouldn't pick the Atkins cereal. One of the
ways they reduce the carb count is by adding almond slices. which are lower
carbs per ounce.
I've thought of mixing all bran extra fiber (7 carbs 1 oz) with the almonds
and atkins cereal. Too many nuts didn't improve the taste. A little flax
seed meal added was ok. I'm being lazy at the moment to research- old
fashioned oats might be less carbs than instant, and how about raw oats,
like in the euro cereal mixes.

Its nice to be able to try more foods in OWL, It gets better all the time.

I used to start every morning with a bowl of Raisin Nut Bran. I tried
Atkins cereal (which tasted awful to me) before deciding that's just one of
those things where I'm trying to force new food into old habits. Truth is,
I don't need breakfast cereal, so I don't eat it anymore. Solved.

If you have decent low-carb foods to eat for breakfast (eggs, meat, etc.),
maybe you can change your behavior (programming) such that you eat them and
get away from things that are inherently higher-carb.

Just something to consider. YMMV.
