Could be worse, I guess - after sitting stubbornly at 212 for two full
weeks, this morning the scale crept down to 211.  I'm not optimistic that it
will stick, but there it is.

Thanks, Carol Ann.

Yeah, it could be worse.  You could sit for a month at 190, suddenly whoosh
down to 182, then go back up to 189 the next day.  Like me. :-(

I'm not even going to bother with the regular sig.

It would seem to me that a sudden surge in weight such as that would be from
water retention.

Do not become discouraged.  Also, try not to weigh yourself too often!!

Hang in there!!

I really, really hope it's water retention.  But I'm not getting my hopes
up.

I usually weigh in on Sundays, but after the whoosh Sunday morning, I
wanted to see if it stayed.  I should have quit while I was ahead.  :-p

> Hang in there!!

I will.  Thanks, you're a sweetie.  I'd say hang in there to you, too,
except in your condition it might be misconstrued.  ;-)

How could it not be?  Unless you overate by nearly 30,000 calories over a
couple of days, there is no way you could have put on eight pounds of fat
overnight.  Be nice to yourself.

Ooh, hang in there Chakolate.  That just stinks!  I don't have water swings
like that (and that must be what that is), but it must just be completely
heinous.  Well: look at it this way; in two days, you lost a pound - a real
pound.  You probably knew the 182 wouldn't "stick" anyhow.

I missed the original check in due to technical problems so pardon me if i
reply improplerly to the wrong thread. As of yesterday i'm down 6 pounds.
Nothing quite like buring 800 calories a day on the eliptical trainer then
weight lifting.

Last I checked I was 183 on my way to my 180 goal.  I will take that number,
but I confess, I had a bad day since drinking some beer, eating Mexican food
(including chips, burrito, refried beans) and um.......eating a whole pint
of Hagaan Daz Butter Pecan ice cream in one sitting.  Ouch!  I am sure I
will be back in a day or two.

Yeah, every once in a while I go off the deep end.  It usually starts with
beer.  I am ok now.  One day isn't all that bad, but if I did it for a week
or so....that would be really bad.

268. A pound down. This after going up and down over the week. I'm finding
that to be my pattern. I drop. Go back up a little. Drop a little. But the
bottom line gets lower.

I can't believe you have the dedication to do this for us with all that must
be on your mind. Thanks.

As long as I'm at the house, I'm able to keep up with it.  I have started
working fewer and fewer hours in order to get the house ready.

I think I'll be able to keep up with the Challengers more effectively now!
Wahoo!!!

I've found also, as have many others, that the weight loss on low carb isn't
a downward ramp when you look at it on a chart, but rather a series of
steps.  Guess it's the bottom line that counts.

I've told Carol Ann the same thing.  I tinker with  HTML programming on my
website when I get time, but it *is* time consuming,  She's a saint to do
all this tremendous amount of work out of the kindness of her heart.  What a
selfless service!

Hi Carol-Ann,

I realize I'm a bit late, but I'd like to sign up for March..   You
can copy my stats from Dec or Jan.  I started March at 184, and am now
183 (weight loss is slowing down).

Thanks.

Slow going so far this month. I'm bouncing back and forth between 3
pounds this week. I went to two doctor appointments today and was 4
pounds heavier than home at the first one, 3 at the second. Grr.

I have quit smoking. I'm constipated and nauseated. Hey, you asked!

Today there is no change from the 1st of the Month. Tomorrow may be 3
lower. Yoyoyoyoyoyo.

I personally use the same scale that I've always used and do not accept the
Doctor's numbers.  The old antiquated scales they have just can't be
accurate....IMHO.

:: I have quit smoking. I'm constipated and nauseated. Hey, you asked!

Congrats on the not smoking!!!  Hey, constipation and nauseau????
Whoyatalkinto????  LOL!!  Actually I suffered NO nauseau and have constant
diarrhea (I assume from the daily bottle of Tums or Maalox).  I'm blessed to
be considered one of the lucky pregnant women who suffered from very few
negative side effects.  The worst I admit are the hands falling asleep AND
weight gain.

Hi, CarolAnn.  I'm hanging at 176, which is OK, I guess since we've
had not so good news in the medical department for my daughter and I.
I'm not eating in response to the stress, so I guess that's it's own
accomplishment.  I just don't have the mental or physical energy to do
the cooking I need to be doing.

I am at 238. Hasn't budged in a couple days. Happy that I am in the
230's now. Just weighing myself once a week. Was weighing myself every
other day or so. Its too frustrating to do that.  With hardly no loss.
I hope to get into the 220's next month.  I may just look pretty good
by summer time. Thanks for doing this monthly challange, its very
helpful!

Love them names for the baby you picked out too, very nice!

Was wondering what low carb plan did you lose, and how much did you
lose etc..?
