In another newsgroup that has nothing to do with diet.
Some one made and off hand remark about Atkins...
"I don't know how anyone can be so stupid to think that a diet of eggs
and bacon is healthy"
Well, I just could not resist.
I replied,  Get educated,  Its real unhealthy not to eat
potatos, rice, pasta, ring dings, chips  ect ect.  I 'm much healthier
now eating lots of veggies then ever before.

I was called a greedy lard a.s.....lol
I replied that I was neither greedy nor a lard a.s.
I wonder where the greedy fits in?  Never heard that one with Atkins
slams before.  Although thinking about it now I am greedy where bacons
concerned, I sometimes fib about how much I made so I can have the extra
slice.  :)

The funny thing is I don't like eggs very much (I eat them once in a
while) and I don't *touch* bacon.  Yet, I low carb using poultry and
fish as my protein.  And I eat more green vegetables than when I
was a vegetarian.  And no I won't get into the beef (no pun intended)
about people who think that people who eat chicken and fish are
somehow vegetarians LOL... It used to irk me so bad when I *was* a
vegetarian, being offered *meat*. LOL

I love eggs.  Scrambled, you can add so many different things.  Fried with
the yellow runny and some sausage to soak it up.  Hard boiled as a snack.
Good protein, good taste, good price.

I have only 3 flaws.  My first flaw is thinking that I only have 3 flaws.

I used to eat runny, fried eggs. As I have gotten older, the thought
makes me queasy. I have to be in the right mood to eat any kind of
eggs now. I don't think I've had a deviled egg this time around. I
have done scrambled a few times, but can't stand anything in with
them. It's odd, I used to be able to eat everything!

Ew. They stink. I can't put anything that smells that bad in my mouth. Like
tuna. Gross!  ;-)

Maybe the poster meant "greasy" and couldn't type it. :-D. I educated
someone in another newsgroup who was going on and on about ketosis and
kidneys. Of course, in his case he was educable and he went on to
educate others who had the same misinformation. One by one...

I also stepped up in another newsgroup recently (under my real name, even :-)
Fortunately I have something of a following in that group, so I didn't get
slammed (that I know of) and suddenly a LOT of other people stepped up and
praised it.  Safety in numbers :-)
