Good news. Some very good friends of mine decided to get a new treadmill
and gave their old one to me.
It's a LifeStyler 1000 ( bought at Sears). The body monitor plug in and
owners manual are missing, but I called their parts department. and I
can replace them for under $45, shipping included.
They were lost/damaged during a recent move, and that was why it was
being replaced.
It looks and acts like a brand new one. I did try to convince them to
order the parts themselves, but they said no....they wanted to
"upgrade". It must be nice to have that kind of money. Those suckers can
be a bit expensive!
I sweated when I used mine. <G> I half expected smoke to come rolling
out of it every time I used  it. LOL.
It couldn't have happened at a better time!
Best Wishes; Marty

Cool....and you're reward them by using it consistently.

Oh that's a given. Every other day. I alternate between it and my
stationary bike, 7 days a week, along with the other exercises I do. I
think that's why they  offered it to me, they knew there was a lot of
good life left in it and thought I would get a lot of good use out of
it. And they're absolutely right.

Great news I'd say.

Do yourself a favour and go here...
http://www.runnersworld.com/home/0,1300,1-51,FF.html?site=RunnersWorld and
learn how to run properly in terms of timing and pace levels. It will save
you alot of grief.

Remember, go slow at the beginning. You don't get fit in a week it takes
time.

Thanks for the input and link Mike, but I've had (and used) a treadmill
for over four years now. What I meant by my post was: I exercise every
day and I use my bike one day, then the treadmill the next day,
alternating them along with my other every day exercises.
My old one is going to be donated to the Good Will store. Recycle, and
all that. Maybe someone else can get a little more use out of the old
girl. <G>
