For the past 5 days I have experienced a severe increase in hunger
and cravings  - I have not changed anything at all  - I have lost over 50
lbs at this WOE, eat  the same foods from the same manufacturers,
have not changed my exercise plan, am not on any new meds, etc.,
and I cant figure this out

does anyone have any thoughts about this that might explain what's happening?

possibly you're having withdrawals from carbs. I would try adnutrim, it just
came out yesterday.  The owner of the company is putting me on the diet after i
come back from spring break.  if you think the product could help go to :

And it's not just another diet pill carb-blocker scam,
this one really works because it has
------------------PHASE 2----------------
None of that non-working PHASE 1 crap, nosirree, this is honest,
carb-burning PHASE 2.

Hahaha.

Left side of the ad on the webpage -- the sales rep is named "Rocco Sucato".
The poster is going by "PunkRocco".
The only thing this person has posted about is "Adnutrim", answering other
people's posts as if it is some miracle cure.

What a scam!

It's just bull.  Don't waste your money.

Contrary to the advertisement, studies have NOT shown the ingredients to
be an effective thermogenic, in fact citrus aurantium (aka bitter orange,
synephrine) has been shown in studies to be either just an extremely
weak thermogenic, or not thermogenic at all.  Synephrine is a popular
but ineffective substitute for ephedrine/ma huang in a lot of products
these days.  The green tea polyphenols are merely a popular substitute
for caffeine, in a caffeine/ephedrine stack.

And the phaseolamine carb blockers are shown to work in a test tube,
but not in the human body where the blockers which are made of
proteins are broken down in the stomach and no longer exist when
carb digestion happens later in the intestine.

What they call "French lilac" is more commonly known as Goat's Rue.
From http://www.pdrhealth.com/drug_info/nmdrugprofiles/herbaldrugs/101270.shtml
"Goat's Rue also contains a compound that theoretically lowers blood
sugar levels--a potential boon to diabetics. However, the sugar-lowering
effect has never been observed in practice."

Hormones?

This is TOTALLY off the wall, but do you live in the SF Bay Area?  We are
actually having a HEATWAVE, believe it or not!  I had to dig out some summer
clothes (which are now too big :-) because it's in the EIGHTIES!  Normally at
this time of year, we are looking up at the snow dusting the top of Mt. Hamilton
and speculating on whether or not it will reach the valley floor.  Could an
unseasonable change in weather affect appetite?  (I'm craving salty stuff,
myself, but I think that's just PMS)

I'm loving this weather, Saffy. I live very near Ocean Beach. In fact from
my deck I can see all the way to the Farallon Islands. It's been so nice I
just want to sit on the deck and take in the sun. Forget work. Of course I
can't do that. The weekend is supposed to be spectacular. I get mild SAD, so
this has been grrrrrrrrrrrreat! Last night had a dinner of chilled prawns
with some homemade locarb cocktail sauce. It was all I felt like eating.

It is quite common to experience this right before a nice period of
'whooshing'.  I like to think of it as my metabolism going into overdrive.
Keep eating as normal, stick to your 'plan', and you'll be rewarded.
TasTyMorsL - 12 Mar 2004 04:30 GMT
thank you for all the help  - this took me  for a loop as I have not
experienced this since I started this WOE almost
three years go  - I do stay at almost induction carb amounts and I dont eat any
pre-packaged "low carb"
products.
