French fries are the tastiest too, but I don't eat them, either :)

It appears his customers weren't consuming swine flesh either.

Speaking of Canada. Will one of you lovely Canadian ladies marry me so I can
live in your wonderful country?
Just kidding. Kind of.

Hell...this is Canada!  He could even marry your husband and move here!
Bear - 12 Mar 2004 14:27 GMT
Is that true? My partner is an MD and 38. He could get in easily. I'm 51 and
don't have a post graduate degree. I also don''t speak French. If he
emmigrated and then married me after he was given citizenship, then I could?
I never thought of that. I know that BC allows same sex marriage. And
Vancouver is one of the most beautiful cities in the world. I could be very
happy there. Hmmm.

Don't worry about it. Most Canadians don't speak French. I do of
course. (I have to say that in case my pro bilingual boss reads this.)

*thinking of possibilities*  Hmmm, are we talking any kind of compensation?
:)

Are you prepared to pay higher taxes, and not have as much disposable
income?  If necessary are you willing to go on extensive wait lists for your
"so called" free medical?
Really curious as to why such a draw for Canada?
;) Lets talk.  I like negotiating.

Reasons to love Canada:

Canada doesn't elect people like GW Bush to ANY office, never mind the
top position....

Elected officials actually have to get MORE votes than their
opponents....

Elections aren't nearly as easy to rig (ie.Florida?!?!).....

Don't spend billions in tax dollars on WMDs and foreign wars.....

There may be some waiting lists but ALL Canadians get medical
care.....

People around the world LIKE Canadians....

All Canadians can get an education if they want it....

No one starves in Canada .........

Death rates from guns are miniscule.......

Peoples rights are actually considered as important as corporations
rights .....

Minorities are appreciated and respected.....

World reknown as peacekeepers/peacemakers.........

Need more????

I visited last year. We went to Vancouver and drove to Whistler. First off,
it's one of the most beautiful places I've ever seen. Just stunning.
The people were so nice.
I felt safe walking around at 2 in the morning.
The news wasn't full of strories of people dying from gunshot wounds.
The government seems to be working for the people, not for corporations.
Universal health coverage.
A very high standard of living.
The lack of homeless people filling the sidewalks and parks.
Did I mention it's as beautiful as heaven must be?
It just felt so civilized compared to the US
I like the way the first nations are treated. Just the fact that they're
called first nations is cool.
Canada does not feel compelled to be the worlds police force. I felt safe
from terror and hatred.
Just a few of the points.

Although we are bang onside of gay marriage, our gov't still
takes a dim view of polygamy or polyandry or polylotsofus,
so, since I'm already married, sorry.

Besides which: all you need to immigrate to Canada is pots and
pots of money.  Just kidding.  Kinda.

    :)

This is a very tragic story, made even more tragic by the fact that
the RCMP released the story to the media before contacting any of the
victims' families. I can only imagine how awful it must be to hear
something like this on TV or radio rather than from the investigators.
Would it have been different if the women weren't 'throw-aways?' Maybe
not.

Having said all that, my idiot brother came up with this when he read
the news: "Gives new meaning to the term 'bangers' doesn't it?"
