Hi,
A while back, I ordered some La Tortilla Factory tortillas (the
smaller size) from Aktins directly and have run out. I also want to
switch to their larger sized tortillas so I can make subway-like wraps
at home.
I am going NUTS trying to find them. La Tortilla Factory has stopped
selling on their own site and EVERY low-carb merchant I have found
online is out of stock on them! I placed an order with one yesterday
anyway, but they claim they won't get any for THREE WEEKS!
I have looked at other brands of low-carb tortillas, but they all seem
to have a much higher net carb count then the 5 the large La Tortilla
Factory ones have.
Any suggestions? I wish to heck I could ask Subway to sell me a
package of the wraps they use, but I know they won't. :-(

The Safeway in my area (Everett WA) has been sellin a brand called Don
Pancho. They're larger than LTF's large and still 5 grams effective carbs.

I found them at a Safeway in Santa Clara (CA) yesterday.

Also at Albertson's and Safeway in Lodi CA. Mission Brand has some new
ones out too, but haven't tried them yet. :-)

I think maybe their sales and production have slowed dramatically since just
about every tortilla company has come up with their own versions, and from
what I have tried out, done them better. I liked the largers ones, and so
far only find them in the small versions.. the non- LaTortilla ones that is.
I haven't even looked for La Tortilla lately.. just wish the others would
make large tortillas..

I am personally not a fan of the La Tortilla factory tortillas. I LOVE
the Vita's tortillas! Here is a link to the site where you can order
them. I buy them by the case and they keep fresh in the freezer. They
are available in large and small sizes as well as flavors.

It hasnt been easy in the pacific northwest but I came upon 30
packages hidden in the deli section of Safeway. They generally are at
the end of the aisle with all the other tortillas, that spot was
empty. I went to get carb options peanutbutter which is near the deli
and low and behold I found them there!!! I bought them all as they
freeze super good. Ya gotta Safeway???? Check there

Andi, which is the best Vita's flavor? White/whole wheat or garlic/herb?

Watch out for those tortillas. They are giving me MAJOR stomach achies....I
had such terrible diarrhea I wanted to die. They're good but who wants all
that?

Local supermarkets (HEB) carry them here, but I find I like the Casa
Rita LC tortillas from WalMart, or the new LC HEB brand tortillas better
than LaTortillaFactory.
I assume you tried Netrition.com already?

We just got them in after about 10 days of being out of stock. You can find
them here:

Hi Mike,
The web site you refer me to only lists the smaller version of the
Tortillas? I was posting about the larger. Do you have the 9" size
also??
Thanks!

My local Kroger store had run out of them too. Was out for about 3 weeks,
but last week got a big stock of them in. Maybe the websites will start
getting some in now.

Hey! I just saw some at a healthfood supermarket yesterday--Wild
Oats in Andover, Mass. Thought that was interesting.
