Just thought I would stop in and say hi. I just started Atkins today and am
looking for advice on snacks and meal ideas. Doing good so far have my day
planned out and am sticking to it. But would like any advice on what I have
mentioned above from others who have been on the plan longer. I am doing the
Induction phase so my carb intake is limited.
thanks in Advanced

Hi and welcome.
At your weight, you must realize that it take about ten times longer
to lose 20 pounds than those that weigh 300. But that's ok.

I've hardly done anything at all compared to many here. But I will say
that I jumped all the way back to my starting point after the surgery a
few weeks ago, and am proud to say that it only took me 2 weeks to get
rid of *all* of it. Back down to 140 and holding (still too big for my
britches though LOL).

at least u got back to it. and did stop. some people think here that just
because i am saying that i am trying atkins again that i have not been on my
diet or doing atkins this last little while. that is one reason i stopped
posting to this group in the first place. i have accomplisehed alot over the
last month or so. and have come a long way since i was last here. and will
continue to progress. i have been under stress the last little while so it
hasn't been easy and am still under stress. the one thing i can say is that
at least i haven't given up and i never really stopped doing atkins in the
first place.
thanks again for the replys reverk and the welcome backs to those who have
replied as well.
have a great week

I lost 40 pounds last year, gained it all back, and re-started on Friday.
So, I'm in Induction, too.
Dinner tonight was 1/4 head of iceburg lettuce, chopped, 1/2 can solid
white albacore tuna, shredded cheddar (I didn't measure), mayonnaise, salt,
pepper, and onion powder. It was amazingly good, and I can't wait to have
one just like it tomorrow for lunch. AND, I'm stuffed!
Grilled chicken is great in salads, too. Or marinated flank steak. Mmmmm!
All of my salads are 1/4 head of lettuce. It's a lot easier for me that
way.
Best wishes!
Carol
