[REC] Very simple ice-cream

Mix deep-frozen strawberries with refrigerated mascarpone using some
powerfull mixer (add some sweetener if needed). As simple as that :)

Only drawback is that while mascarpone is low-carb, it is pretty
high-calorie - so use only in moderation. I will try it full-fat cottage
cheese next time (and report).

That sounds good.  I use a similar recipe that I learned here a couple of
months ago - mix 1c. frozen berries with about 1/3 c. cream in the food
processor.  Splenda can be added as desired.  It's a delicious dessert - I
would serve it to non-LC guests happily.  The proportions I listed make two
nice portions, and not all that caloric because it's not all that much - I
use light cream, and it's about 110 calories/serving.  Heavy cream would
raise to about 130.  (Please check the numbers; don't take my memory's word
for it.)
