Specific type of high blood pressure may predict heart disease
Mar 11 (HeartCenterOnline) - High blood pressure has been associated with heart disease for years, but scientists are now beginning to find that pulse pressure - a certain type of high blood pressure - is a more accurate predictor of calcification, atherosclerosis and coronary artery disease.

Interesting. My last blood pressure was 144/95, slightly on
the high side, and it has been right around those numbers
for a couple years. But the pulse pressure is only 49, so
that's good, right?

You don't get it tested per se. It's merely the difference betwen the
diastolic and systolic pressures.
