I have lost 30 lbs on Atkins and my wife wants us to switch to the SBD.
Anyone done the same?
Any comments about the two diets?
Also, we have several Atkins products, such as the nummy candy bars and
shakes.
Any reason they would not be comp[atable with the SBD?
Thanks

Why? I read both books and preferred SB, primarily because it looked more like
a diet I'd follow, though I could have followed Atkins. But why does your wife
want to switch? And what do you think about it, having had some success on
Atkins?

Based on the books, I don't think they're all that different, except there's
less fat on the SB diet and people seem to lose a bit faster on Atkins. So it
depends on what your goals are. If you wanted to stay on Atkins and she wanted
to go SB, you could probably manage dinners together without two different
menus. Broiled fish and vegetable sides on Atkins is broiled fish and
vegetable sides on SB. Etc.

Thanks for the reply.
She is a nurse and from what she has read of SB, she feels that the food
selections are more rounded and the lower fat meats are appealing to her
medical side :-)

So eat lower fat meats...It's not like the Atkins police are gonna come
after you. In fact, I have been eating lower fat items all over the
place--just have to be careful that the fat hasn't been replaced with sugar.
