I unable to "go".... Atkins suggests psyllium husks. I found sugar-free ones
at the grocery store (sugar-free metamucil) but it contains aspartame.
Atkins also says stay away from aspartame. Does anyone know where I can get
psyllium husks without sugar or aspartame in it? Thanks.

I got plain psyllium husks at Trader Joe's.  It comes in a tub labeled
"Secrets of the Psyllium" in the vitamin section.  It's a little hard to
take though - I can't drink it down with water as the label recommends.
I've been mixing a tablespoon into a bowl of ricotta for breakfast.

Next time I am going to try psyllium husk capsules, which I believe one can
also get at Trader Joe's.  You might look into that option as well.

Thanks. There is a Trader Joe's right down the street. I will try it.

Eat 2 or 3 Carbolite "LC" bars. Wait about an hour and get ready for
blast-off.

I take psyllium husk capsules. As far as I know they have no sugar or
aspertame (no flavoring is needed, as these are in capsule form and
are swallowed whole). I got mine at the Vitamin Shoppe.

Sugar free Beneful is good, there are also some other natural remedies like
licorice root pills, asparagus seems to get things moving also

I get mine at the Whole Foods store. No additives at all, just husks in a
capsule. If you can't get some try magnesium--500 mg or so should do the
trick as well. If 500 doesn't do, try a little bit more. Magnesium is good
for and helps the body absorb calcium. Too much will give diarrhea.
