A friend was just diagnosed by her doc with liver impurities. More tests
to come. Any idea how this relates to her doing LC for the last year?

Elevated levels of Liver Enzymes and Idiopathic bruisin was the exact
wording.

Did your "friend" <wink><wink> happen to have any alcohol in the 2 weeks
previous to being tested? I had a general blood test and there was concern
over my liver readings. When I went back to the doctor, he suggested not
having ANY alcohol for 2 weeks, and then re-testing. On the 2nd test, the
reading were all normal. I was LC'ing the entire time.

Does she take prescription or over the counter meds? I take Ultram and
Excedrin and have my liver panel checked every 6 months.
Your friend should look into milk thistle. Plenty of studies out there that
shows milk thistle lowers elevated liver enzymes.

Is she diabetic? Was/is she very overweight? Sometimes people develop
a fatty liver. Look up NASH to find out about it.
