It has been a bumpy road through March. At times, I thought I would quit
the whole process and celebrate that 'no matter what weight I am, i am just
the size I am suppose to be.' Thankfully, I found inner strength to avoid
this pitfall. Likewise, I found outer strength - in the form of this
group - to continue with what my heart and mind know to be a good and
fruitful path but from which my weak will too often challenges me to
digress.
Today, I am celebrating a victory of will-power, discipline, and desire.
When I hug my nearly-fourteen-year-old daughter this afternoon I will tell
her (as I promised her I one day would) that she is hugging 'the smallest
dad she ever had.' This having lost an even thirty pounds in the last 11
weeks.
Thank you, group. In the last three months, you have made me angry and made
me laugh, have made me roll my eyes at some of the things that get said
here and have uttered poignant truth to my heart and the hearts of countless
others who mostly lurk in the background of these conversations. Warts and
all, you are a gift and I thank you ..... even as I continue to get smaller
and smaller - which to me is greater and greater.
Have a great rest of the weekend and continue to work hard toward the
end-of-March goals you have set for yourselves. Where there is a will,
there is a way.

that was the best post or one of the best posts that i have read n this
group or any of the groupd that i belong to. I have been struggling over the
last month or so trying to get back on track and find what diet or life
style works best for me.
So i know what you mean about bumps. losing the weight and becoming
healthy is the best gift you can give to anyone including ur children. I
wish that my dad would be as concerned for his health as most of the men in
this group are. he has high blood preasure and is on meds for it as well.
Keep up the amazing work u must be so impressed and happy with urself.

[Some of excellent post snipped for brevity]
Congrats on the success. CONGRATS on sticking to it even though it can
be difficult and sometimes just plain sucks.
Thanks for posting.

Single malt scotch is awesome (NO it does NOT have carbs as DON'T vodka,
gin, rum, bourbon, etc generally)
Malt can be made low carb through the judicious use of yeast.
Low carb beer? Uh...yeah.
Read the books.
You can have more than eggs for breakfast.
Yes calories do count.
Ketosticks are not neccessary to lose weight.
