I haven't tried it, but I saw it in the paper and thought I'd pass it along
since it seems no one else has. It has been mentioned in some of the food
groups, but not here. http://www.cooldeli.com/
Check the web site to see if they have a store near you, or products you
may be interested in. They are at least an alternative to Subway's Atkins
Wraps. Their wrap is 7g net carbs and they have complete wraps (whole
sandwich) as low as 9g net carbs.

Schlotzsky's is not low carb.

JC, why don't you post something helpful from time to time, like
recipes, etc?
Those of us on maintenance who exercise can have a low carb wrap and figure it
into our daily carb allowance. This is not the "heil hitler" diet --- it's a
way of eating that focuses on carb reduction not elimination.

That was helpful, even if you don't see it that way.
Fast food is not the answer to your problems. If you don't have time to
prepare a meal for yourself, then don't eat. Missing a meal won't kill you,
in fact, it would probably be good for you. I have hundreds of tips like
that. You can use Google to pull them up.
Btw, it's almost impossible to eliminate all carbs from your diet, no matter
how hard you try.
Ooops. There's another helpful tip.

JC I cook at home mostly and I run and work out with weights. I don't even go
out for dinner with my husband more than 1 x per month. My job requires me to
travel and sometimes, maybe 1 x per month, I resort to fast food. I am glad to
have low carb options that I can figure into my daily carb allowance. I will
agree with you these fast food options can be a pitfall and stumbling block for
some, but for others on maintenance they're very welcome.

Who do you believe my post was directed towards? Have you ever heard of
generalizing a specific theory? Do you believe the majority of participants
in this newsgroup are on maintenance? If you're truly on maintenance, do you
not believe that a regular sandwich from a fast food joint would serve your
purposes just as well as the overpriced faux foods that are now all the
rage?

JC just give it a freakin' break. Everyone has heard your "xy and z is not low
carb" ad nauseum. Many of us on here are on maintenance, and when I post
maintenance type recipes, etc. I always note they're for maintenance. Get off
your damn throne.

They're forthcoming and will you ever be embarassed. Low carbing is not
a "contest" but if you want to make it one fine.
Andrea

Why would I be embarassed?

Don't get the asian almond chicken wrap. Or at least, ask for it with
no sauce. That damn sauce (which I didn't know was there until I'd
taken a bite) tastes like honey blended with soy. Sweet and carby,
which probably accounts for at least half of the <gasp> 44 net carbs.

I have tried them and they are very good. They usually have a lot more
filling than the Subway versions. You can get any of their sandwiches as a
low carb wrap. I especially like their pastrami and swiss with grainy
mustard.
