I am looking for a website to purchase many low carb products at one time if
possible, to save shipping costs.  One think I need is that xanthum which
Dana Carpender's book uses so much.  Does anyone have any suggestion?

Thanks, Debra

I like www.netrition.com for bulk purchasing.  They have a standard
shipping price ($4.95, last time I checked), for any size order.   I've
never looked for books there.

Good luck, Debra!

Great...I just looked at netrition.com and it looks wonderful.  What
products do you recommend?

I like the Keto hot cereal - plain and banana.  The blueberry is absolutely
wretched.

I like Atkins shakes.  Especially the Cappucino.  These are the powdered
mixes, not the ready-to-drink ones, which I haven't tried.

Davinci sugar free syrups are good.  You can alter a lot of basic things
(coffee, hot cocoa, meal replacement shakes, etc.) with them.  I especially
like the Kahuli Caffe, which has become a must in my hot cocoa.

Speaking of hot cocoa, Keto's is good, and I use it when I'm feelling lazy.
But this is better:

* Jenny the Bean's low-carb hot cocoa:

First of all,  this recipe is best with a "Dutched" cocoa. Hershey's sells
one in many supermarkets in a silvery container. Droste makes a wonderful
one too. It's lighter and tastes more like cocoa then when you use the
usual Hershey's cocoa. (But you can use the regular Hersheye's baking cocoa
if it's all you have.)

Boil  a cup of  water. Measure out 1 teaspoon full of cocoa powder and
put it into a cup. Stir in a tablespoon or two of the hot water into the
cocoa until it is a nice chocolate syrupy texture. Then fill the cup almost
to the top with boiling water stirring while you do so. Now add a cap or
two of a DaVinci sugar free flavored syrup. I use the Kahuli Caffe,
Vanilla, or Amaretto. Experiment to find out how much tastes good to you.
You can use regular Splenda but it doesn't come out as good as with the
DaVinci.

Finally lighten the cocoa with whatever you use for coffee. A tablespoon or
two of cream is best, but sometimes I use half and half if I'm close to
hitting my calories for the day. I drink this stuff instead of coffee now
in the afternoons and sleep a whole lot better.

you should be able to find that xanthum in either a health food store or a
store that sells lots of baking stuff like nuts etc
it's been around forever, you see it listed in things like salad dressing
