Hi LCers!

After being less than pleased with some pork rind pancakes, I made some good
ones today with vanilla whey protein powder (thanx to JennytheBean for the
recipe).  So this got me stoked to try more LC goodies!  Unfortunately, I
tried to substitute cold milled flax seed for soy flour in a chocolate cake
recipe and quelle desastre!  I do not wish to use soy because of what I
heard about the taste and also because I have thyroid problems.  Can flax
seed be used in place of soy flour?  How about whey powder?  If substitution
is allowed, do I use the same amount called for in the recipe?

Also, my protein powder does not have a scoop (that I have found), so how
many teaspoons/tablespoons are in a scoop?

Thanx for the help,
dr feline
(who made her own ketchup--thanx Chuck! for the recipe--cuz she still can't
find Heinz One Carb Ketchup...)

Uh, how is soy protien powder any less soy than soy flour?  They said
they didn't want to use soy.
