Well, after 6 weeks and the wife not losing a single pound (but some inches
from the water loss) I'm now going it alone as she has switched back to
low-cal. Oh well, just means I get to gnosh on some of the bachelor LC stuff
that I've not been playing with :-) Sausage, sauerkraut, hot mustard,
onions, you name it!
On the plus (or minus?) side, she's already down about 5lbs on low-cal so
kudos to her!

Amen!
Actually, I meant "neat stuff that got me by on Atkins many years ago and I
was craving this time but haven't been able to cook exclusively since I was
cooking for two" ;-)
It's actually a nice break from cooking every night so I don't burn out.
Next week I'll get back to "fully cooked meals".

Yeah, but after you are committed those things don't matter anymore, do
they? You both partake, you both emit odors, ah, harmony.

how does she lose inches from water loss and not a single pound? If you
lose water, you lose weight. And if she's losing inches, she should be
happy...

Sorry, I stated water loss w/o any real basis for it ;-) She just noticed
that her clothes were quite baggy, so something came off but the scale never
moved but maybe 3/4 lb.
I would say the scale is defective but it's recorded my 20lb's fairly
accurately so far.

Lots of women (and some guys, but not me) report this same thing. You know
that if the clothes are becoming baggy, then things are happenning.
I'd say your honey jumped the gun by leaving LC....

I agree with Roger. I think the single biggest way to record your
progress is how your clothes fit. My jeans are more accurate then my
cheap scale.
If low-fat works for her, however, than more power to her.
