Since the middle of 1989, I've been part of a group of women that meets monthly
to talk, laugh, and have dinner.  Since 1995, the menu has always been the
same:  pizza.  I wasn't going to suggest a change.  I figured this would be my
highest carb night of the month, each month from here on out.

But I went to www.papajohns.com beforehand and found out something interesting.
One slice of a large Papa Johns pizza with regular crust has 38 carbs.  One
slice of the same pizza with a thin crust has 24 carbs.  I managed to talk the
group into getting the thin crust pizza.

So even though, with 2 slices of pizza, I just had my highest carb (and likely
highest calorie) day since I began this WOE, it could have been worse -- about
28 carbs worse.  And the group liked the thin crust pizza, so we'll probably
have it again.

we have pizza at work for meetings and morale events.  i just scrape the
toppings off with a fork and toss the crust in the garbage.  :-)

On days that I know that we'll be having a pizza-fest at work, I'll bring
in a low-carb tortilla and shift the pizza toppings over to that.  Somehow
I get fewer weird looks that way than if I just scrape the toppings onto a
plate.

When I have pizza with my friends, I just scrape off all the toppings,
and make sure I get a big salad to go along with it.  I don't feel
deprived because I get to eat the toppings, and I forego the hi-carb
crust in favor of a mixed green salad.  Works for me.

A pessimist believes all women are bad.  An optimist hopes they are.

The SO likes pizza so I just scrape the top onto a LC tortilla.

Same for me the papajohns thin crust veggie is my choice and taste good.
I can even order it on the web and have it in 40 min or less.
Thin crust IS Pizza.  The other is a sandwich to me.
