Hmmmm....  Interesting, but obviously biased.  More research is
needed.

I voted for it before I voted against it!

You're the biased one. Jennie Brand-Miller from the University of Sydney has
done extensive research on the subject of glycemic indexes and beer
(actually all alcohol-based drinks). She and her team have tested over 1500
foods and established their G.I.s.

Dr. Agatston of South Beach fame has also admitted that beer can be part of
a LC lifestyle. Of course to get this info from his SB website, you have to
pay. He changed his views in January of this year when it was brought to his
attention that the G.I. (and load) of beer is zero.

The chief component of beer is NOT maltose---it's water---95%. Instead of
blowing smoke and showing your bias, why not do a little research yourself?

In a way.  He went and got himself a degreee in brewing technology, and
writes on the subject for newspapers and magazines.  Thus he thinks he's
God's gift on the subject.  (and rules are for the leetle peeeepul not
published authors trying to make a living, don'tcha know)
