I'd like to express my sincere appreciation to each of you who supported
the visualization tactic I'm using in my signature.  I feel sad that people
like Iggy are so negative.  It must be a miserable existence.

I choose happiness.

Good for you. Let him stew in his own grumpy attitude.

Yup, we moved in August.  This house is so much nicer than the old one, and
we're in a much nicer community.  We're very happy here!

I'm all for the way you choose to see yourself, but I'd suggest placing it
below your "begin signature" lines so it is treated as a signature.

Hell, my attempt at  viewing this positively has been more hassle than it's
worth.   I'll probably be back sometime.

I wholeheartedly agree Carol....I think some people filtered out one of the
words that are in the title of this newsgroup, alt.SUPPORT.diet.low-carb.
Ignore the people who want to make you feel badly over something you should
not feel bad about.  Since I have been reading posts here I have noticed
there has been more of this than I thought there would be, maybe some
people just cannot be happy for others.

This isn't alt.wffid.diet.low-carb, either.

Most of us probably aren't in danger of eating too little. :)

Saffire, Lily, and Jean,

Thank you for your support and appreciation.  I was planning on going it
alone until my S.O. strongly encouraged me to come back to the group.

I received some horrible news on Thursday, and I'm still pretty
shell-shocked over it.  Stress piled upon stress, and I just couldn't deal
with any more last night.

I'm trying so hard to look at my weight loss journey positively,
particularly now, when other aspects of my life are so terrible.

Thanks again for caring.  I'm finding it especially difficult to care about
myself right now.

Then ask yourself if others are caring, don't you owe it to them as well
as yourself to try harder.........we are *all* of worth.

good luck

I STRONGLY advise filtering out ANYONE who consistently makes you feel bad about
yourself.  Much like the process of separating ourselves from our bodies, it's
often best to focus on what you CAN do and what you DO have.  You DO have lots of
support from many of us here.

This, too, shall pass (I say that to myself when things get painful/stressful).

My primary tormenters are both killfiled, but people keep quoting the
idiots when they post their disagreements, so I wind up seeing a lot of it.

It would be cool, when someone makes a rebuttal to a troll, that they trim
the troll's abusive comments and just make their reply.  The troll knows
what they said, and this way, people wouldn't have to see the negative
things that are being said about them.

Thanks, Saffire.  I do know that I'm a good person.  The morons can't take
that away from me.  And I do know that I have a lot of friends here.
Thanks for being one of them.

When you see those nasty comments just think about what a much nicer person
you are than they.  Like the famous story about Winston Churchill:

One night in the House of Commons, Churchill, after imbibing a few drinks,
stumbled into Bessie Braddock, a corpulent Labourite member from Liverpool.
An angry Bessie straightened her clothes and addressed the British
statesman.

Winston," she roared. "You are drunk, and what's more, you are disgustingly
drunk."

Churchill, surveying Bessie, replied, "And might I say, Mrs. Braddock, you
are ugly, and what's more, disgustingly ugly. But tomorrow," Churchill
added, "I shall be sober."

One day you will be thin but the trolls will still be people who have such
pathetic lives that they have to get kicks by being nasty to strangers on
the internet.

Probably because they're *not* really happy about themselves.
