Be Warned:
The dangers of doing a Low-Carb Lifestyle change in eating habits. Like the
Dr. Atkins Plan

Read these and BE AWARE !!!!

The expense of ALWAYS buying new and smaller clothing.
IT'S TERRIBLE !!!!
The clothes that you are wearing before starting the Atkins plan fit well.
THEN !!!!
A month after starting the dreaded Atkins plan you have to go out and
replace everything that you wear to a smaller size
(except for socks, shoes and hats)
THIS COSTS ALOT OF MONEY!!
Ya KNOW?
~~
THEN !!!!
After buying all these clothes you find out the following month that
everything that you own is too baggy on you.
Some people even suffer fom embarrasement when they can't keep their pants
up!!!!
THIS IS HORRIBLE
I can remember when I went shopping at Walmart and as I was walking out the
front door with both hands loaded down with merchandise I had just bought
BAM!!!!  My pants fell down to my ankles !!!!!
It was TERRIBLE & it was all caused by the dreaded Dr Atkins plan...

Another disaster caused by the dreaded Dr. atkins Plan:
It is soo embarrasing when you are at the checkout lane at your grocery and
the cashier says to you: "How can you lose soo much weight when I see you
checking out each week with foods like Oysters, Lobster, shrimp, real crab
meat, Steaks, chicken, BBQ ribs, groundbeef, Ham, roastbeef,  broccoli,
cauliflower, greenbeans, salads, pepperonie slices and other Delicous
Foods."
I tell them that I am losing the weight by eating the BEST FOODS that there
is and they just don't believe me.
One cashier in particular got soo mad at me when she thought I was lying.
She said the only way to lose weight was by strict moderation and starving.
I felt soo sorry for her

Here's another setback with doing the Dr.Atkins WOE
(Way of Eating)
You lose friends, sad to say.
:c(....
Some of your friends who are doing a Low-Fat type of weight loss plan get
jealous because it takes them months to lose 5 pounds and it only takes
someone doing the Dr. Atkins plan one week to lose it.
Low-Fatters don't believe in the WhooshFairy either which is a real real
scary thing.

Another bad setback with doing a Low-Carb WOE like the Dr. Atkins Plan is
that after the first few days, to a week, you have ENERGY
Energy... shucks.... who needs energy.
Being a couch potatoe used to be fun.

Another dangerous side effect from doing a lowcarb WOE is:
How about that awful side effect of having your arthritis pain and acid
reflux go away because your are eating this way.

Another dangerous side effect from lowcarbing.
Warning new body image will severely impact your libido.
Viagra investors could lose money.
This would put the manufactorers of Viagra into Bankruptcy.

Still yet another DANGEROUS side effect is that:
This WOE makes you feel SO good mentally!!!!!!!!!!!
All of a sudden after just a few days of this new way of eating,
You are HAPPY instead of depressed,
like you were feeling when you were overweight!
You may still be overweight
but the emotions overwhelm you at your new resolve,
your determination, your progress in doing something for yourself!
So danger, beware!!!!......
Your friends and relatives may think you are nutty and crazy,
walking around with a smile on your face all the time!
Chalk it up to feeling good about yourself,
and don't let anyone talk you out of it

Here's yet another dangerous side effect of doing a lowcarb diet like the
Dr. Atkins WOE.
How about the expense of purchasing a new scale, since you're absolutely
sure the old one has gone bonkers.  There's NO WAY you could've lost 16 lbs
in two weeks?

Here's another dangerous side effect of doing the Dr. Atkins WOE:
Don't forget about rings too, it's easy to have them drop off your
fingers..........right into the sink........then you have the expense of a
plumber!!
Also the expense of having your rings resized

You also have to keep re-adjusting the car seat

no one recognizes you anymore,

you  have to start showing your ID to buy beer

you lose your voice from explaining to everyone you meet how you lost the
weight

Another DANGEROUS side effect of doing a LowCarb Plan like Dr. Atkins.
You start to look younger as you lose that weight.
SIGH
WHO WANTS TO LOOK YOUNGER !!!!!!
I hate the thought of not being asked if I get the Senior Citizen Discount
any more... :c(....
Waaa Waaa
Gotta pay FULL PRICE again!!
I can't fool anyone any more

Another dangerous side effect of doing the Dr. Atkins WOE
When you lose the weight by doing this plan,
you have all the attention that you want and dont want.
Like all the attention of the opposite sex
and then some from the same sex?  LOL!

Or before when you browse thru the store
and your just checking things out and no one bothered you.
Then lose the weight and every sales person is bugging you
and going out of their way to help you,
when you want to be left alone to browse thru the store.

This is what I hate, when you are heavy and wear glasses,
people take you serious and think you are smart.
Lose the weight, and buy different clothes,
dye your hair blond,
and they think you are a bimbo and shocked you have brains!

Or lose the weight and find women whispering to each other when you pass
by and not as nice to you when before, they LOVED you as the fat chick in
the bunch.  Now they have competition and they dont like it?
SO BE AWARE
BE CAREFUL OF THE DREADED
DR. ATKINS PLAN
BECAUSE
THIS "COULD" EFFECT YOU!!!

A commuter is one who never knows how a movie ends because he has to
leave early to catch a train to get him back to the country in time to
catch a train to bring him back to the city.

He posts on the AOL Atkins boards now. I can't stand moderated forums though,

Me either.  I tried a very nice moderated board but it was too nice
for me.  It's nice that they exist for the folks who prefer that
though.

Take care,

Hehe, they are really strict about that in California - I've never been
carded before. When I was 15 (that's when I started losing my hair, and
the alcohol buying limit is 18 in Denmark) I could buy beer for all the
others, and now that I'm almost 30 I get carded half the times I buy it.

How true!  Friends at work tell me all the time that they admire my
willpower.  I'll eat romaine salad while they eat pasta, potatoes,
sandwiches w/bread, etc.  I know I still have 'miles' to go, but I'm
mentally feeling really wonderful right now.

BTW, I loved the rest of your post!  Think I'll print it out and post it at
my desk!!
