I have found psyllium husk a very beneficial additive to my meals. However,
for convenience, I would like to pre-mix a day's supply (3 meals)-- 3
tablespoons and 24 ounces of water.

My question: Is there any reason pre-mixed psyllium husk would be less
effective? I realize the expansion would take place outside the stomach but
would the fiber benefits be diminished by pre-mixing?

Just make sure it has no sugar.  Should be okay....

You can, alternatively, use ground flaxseed in various ways to get extra
fiber as well as other good stuff.  Also, broccoli and caulifower are good
places to get fiber.
