I fasted today for my 4 month checkup, the first time the dr. has seen be
since advising me to try Atkins.  I was all set and (starving from fasting)
to get my bloodwork drawn, but he said that since I was still actively
losing, that He would wait till I started maintenance. The rational was that
my cholesterol was probably still going to change and he was testing to see
if I needed to have regulating medication. That's OK with me since the
insurance probably wouldnt pick up the tab. I loved the nurses reaction when
she was weighing me!

Anyone else had the same experience?

If the insurance won't pick it up, that's probably the way to go.
Otherwise, I'd get tested.  I get my BW done twice a year.
