Google is probably your only friend.
What is the point of having a support newsgroup if, when someone asks a
simple question, you reply with "Google is your friend"?
Why did you post that reply? What did you gain from it?
In answer to the original question... the Fat Fast, as explained by Dr.
Atkins on page 272 of Dr. Atkin's New Diet Revolution (ANDR), is where you
eat 1000 calroies a day, with 75 to 90 percent of that being fat. It could
be dangerous and generally used only as a last resort. It's for people who
are not having any success through normal LC eating. Please read ANDR for
the full explanation.

True enough, but how many of us take the thoughtful time to give a really
straight question, either ... rather than just a shopping list of wants and
desires?

Why tell him to read ANDR? Why didn't you just type out all the information?

If your idea of support is doing all the f.cking research and answering all the
f.cking newbie questions, even though the f.cking FAQ is posted every f.cking
day, then f.cking go for it.
Oh, and there's google, too.

Perhaps it would be helpful if the FAQ was posted 3-4 times per day.
There is such a high volume of traffic in this group - when I first
started here, I had a helluva time finding a post with the link. I asked
for it, and was told it was posted once a day. It was still hard to
find, given the volume.
Of course, one can google the group for the FAQ posts as well. But not
everyone knows how to google a group.
Maybe if someone notices it hasn't been posted in the last few hours,
they could do it. Just a thought.

Deb

Maybe everybody ought to put the link to the faq in their
tagline on every post. Nah, many still wouldn't read it.
