Hey there!

Wow, whaddya mean it's not Monday?!

Well I might as well start us off for the week.

WLL - nope, no losin' going on here.  And no gaining.  Staying right the
same, again.  Something like 194th week.  Okay it hasn't been that long,
it just feels like it.  Still mighty tired of it.  I think I should just
go an sit outside for an hour and let the mosquitos go at it, I should
be at least 2 maybe 3 pounds lighter after.

SUB - 5 days last week.

This coming week promises to be interesting.  Canada Day on the 1st,
which means we have friends over for our traditional BBQ.  Not that bad,
except for all the stuff that friends usually bring.  I know I can allow
myself the points for the burger (just love nicely barbequed burgers),
and a small portion of potato salad that friend #1 will bring.  It won't
be made with anything low-fat, so I know it will have to be a SMALL
portion, which will probably upset her ("I thought you liked my potato
salad?"  "Yeah, but I like my waistline more!").

My mother's birthday is on July 4, which means a family party - likely a
BBQ.  At least *most* of the family is doing the health-conscious
thing.  Except for my aunt (the one who signed up for WW and went to 2
meetings and hasn't gone back).  I've already told her that we have a
cake for the party, in the freezer.  It's a nice frozen strawberry
shortcake - I'm sure it's not very low cal or low fat, but the size is
right for smallish portions for everyone and the cake itself is nice and
refreshing (tried a sample at the store).  But I have a suspicion that
she'll buy another cake anyway, because a) she's feeling left out and b)
she won't think that 1 cake will be enough for 12 people.  Heavens no,
surely we'll need at least 2 cakes for that!

I've been keeping busy doing way too much of stuff that can't be all
that important, because I can't remember what it was now.  I have been
taking calls from several clients about cruises and vacations and have
been busy with pricing - I'd love to be just as busy with bookings.  I
have one group that's promising to be a pain, we'll have to wait and see
how that turns out.

Off to buy more BBQ supplies!  Whee!

Amberle - I feel your pain. It's always difficult dealing with food
and other people. Make it about the gathering and not about the food.
Chances are nobody will even notice what you're eating or not eating,
as long as everybody is having a good time! (Advice I need to follow
myself.) Happy Canada Day from a fellow Canuck!

SUB -- four treadmill sessions last week.

DH is out of town (gets home today -- hurray!).  At any rate, he called
Sunday evening after 10:00 PM.  When I told him I was on the treadmill, he
wondered what the heck I was doing exercising at that time of day.

Well, I explained, I was busy before and I was in this exercise challenge
and to make my target I had to do a session that day because it was the last
day of the week.

So thanks for keeping me pounding that darn treadmill!
