Once I hit the weight I want, say I am 24 pts per day, then how do I figure
out how many points for maintenance. No more weight gain and no more weight
loss.

Ah, there is a certain variation among people. I get 26, then I add my
activity points to that. If I journal and stick to that, which is usually
around 30 or 32 or something, I lose weight. When I don't journal and
consume four or five large brownies in a day, I gain a pound or two. I think
you have to just go with what they suggest, see if it causes you to stop
losing, if it doesn't, add a couple more. That is what they say. I found
that I tended to "celebrate" when I had a losing week after hitting goal.
Which has ended up with me still a bit below their goal for me, after a
year, and about 4 pounds over where I actually Want to be....

WW suggests adding about 4 points and seeing how it goes. Some folks
have added 2 rather than going too far (g).
Clearly, you still have to evaluate your activity level in with all of
that anyway. Unless you do exactly the same things, day after day and
week after week, I believe the number has to be somewhat variable.
And then a bit up and then a bit down seems natural, also, unless you
also eat exactly the same things and drink the same water and use the
bathroom at exactly the same time.
The big thing is to remember that once you reach goal, you have not
ended the vigilance necessary to maintain. Portion control remains a
big aspect of this and maintaining any activity that helped you get
there.

Hi, Jeff, In order for me to maintain, I use the same points I did to lose.
If I add points, I will gain. I think this is very individual and each
person has to see what works for them.
