I can't remember if I posted these or not but here they are:
1. My mother bought me 2 pairs of pants for my birthday, they were a size
14, they were too big when I tried them on so DH changed them for size 12.
they fit for the first wearing, they are already getting baggy butt.
2. I was bending over and tying my shoes, I was wearing one of these new
pants. DH said "oh man, hold still, I think your pants have a hole in
them... Then he said a word I won't write here, and then, NOPE, no hole
there... I can see light through your legs the way you are standing. Two
here, I had just tied my shoes from a standing position without bending my
knees, I had just bent at the waist to do it and he was seeing light through
my legs with clothes on... and an additional... he was still looking at my
err end
3. I was shopping with my sister, grandmother, niece and DH, he found pants
he thought I would like, they did not have 12s so he offered to buy me 2
pair for incentive pants in size 10. I tried them on, they were only about
5 pounds from being a comfortable fit so he got me those and 2 pairs of 8s.
this is extra special as neither of us thought I would get to 10 let alone
8.
4. I went to my grandmother's 86th birthday party, everyone there gave me
such positive comments it was embarrassing, my most favorite aunt in the
world told me she was jealous. I really appreciated this as she has
struggled with her weight so knows what the effort is all about.

Great NSVs. And you should be pleased with yourself this week. You have come
a long way.

Sounding good. As I recall, you were going to also lose until DH
thought it was enough. Now he's sizing your up, I mean DOWN to a size
8.
Also, very interesting is that your aunt was supportive and not one of
those "oh, dear, are you sure you should lose this much!" Great.
Keep on going........

This aunt is an all around wonderful person. DH has started talking to me
about setting a goal so you are probably right, Lee

Dropping to the next size or two down never fails to make me feel
good. Not only do you get the ego boost for being in a smaller size,
but you also get new clothes out of the deal. Now you're getting into
sizes you never dreamed possible! I'm about ready to sing "The
Impossible Dream" from Man of La Mancha. The first two lines fit your
success with weight loss: To dream the impossible dream/To fight the
unbeatable foe...

that song pretty well covers it, Odd about the clothes, I thought I would
want a bunch of new things, then as I lost my frugal side didn't want me to
buy things that I wouldn't use, now that I am getting close and was forced
to buy new things, I find I still do not like shopping and I am quite happy
with just a few things, so a side benefit of losing weight is that I have a
much cleaner and easier to negotiate closet, Lee

DH is appearing to really like the weight loss. I am truly lucky as he has
always liked who I am and has never once said one word about my weight. The
fact that he is approving of the losses and supportive makes it just that
much better, Lee

I know just where you're coming from. My DH never once complained or
objected about my weight. I truly believe it was never an issue for him.
But he totally understands that it's an issue for me, and as such has
supported me every step of the way. I have to say - he does appreciate a
new slimmer me........ Being slimmer makes me happier, and a happier me is
a much nicer me to be around - so he approves from that angle. Oh - and
from the bending over shoe tying angle too! *grin* Looks like you and me
are both lucky folks :)

I could not have said it better, I feel blessed every day, Lee, who has been
blessed for 25 years with the same man

Can I join the happy band? my DH knew me when I was thing (yes, THIN!
TOO thin at times!), and never criticized when I fattened up. All he's
ever said was encouraging stuff since I've been on WW, and he and I have
a good giggle about the 7" I've lost from the bum area! I still have a
way to go, and he's cheering me on!
The only thing he's ever said about my weight loss being expensive (I
required a whole new wardrobe!) was 'Could you please make some clothes
from the stash?' as I have a whole loft full of fabric and he's afeared
of the rafters... ;D
