The true test of gaining weight back is freshly washed jeans.  Everything
else I've been wearing have felt "fine".  It's deceptive really.  Until a
few hours ago when I put on these freshly washed jeans and realized that
HOLY SMOKES they're just a wee bit tight at the waist.

I (thankfully) managed to not gain last week, but didn't lose any either.
And it's hitting me that this is serious.  I've played around with this too
long, the numbers are going in the wrong direction, and there's NO way I'm
going to let that continue.  Uh uh, not gonna do it.  Of course it would
help if I remembered to journal, so I'm going to have to be tough on myself
with that one.

Allergy season has been in full swing, but I don't even feel that I can use
that as an excuse.  I haven't been exercising as much as I should be, or
really as much as I'd like, and being stuffy isn't the reason.  I'd say that
I've been too busy for it, but then I'm just kidding myself.  I've found
time for my favourite websites and forums online.  I found time to read the
entire Anne Rice Mayfair chronicles (again) last week.  Surely I could have
devoted a little more of that time to exercise, I might have lost an ounce
or two.  So I managed 4 days of assorted exercise, this week will be better.

This week, and the week after, are going to be a challenge.  I'm leaving
town on Thursday and will be gone for a week and a half.  We'll be at 5
different hotels, 2 of which have (I think) fitness facilities.  I'll be
taking along my stretch band things to try and workout in the hotel room for
places that don't have facilities.  I'll also be reminding myself that yes,
even though I'm eating out that doesn't mean I have to be off program.
Dipping a toe (or two) in the water occasionally is one thing, I'm not
falling overboard though!

Hi, Amberle3, You are right to be concerned now and not wait until you have
gained more.  You can do it.

You have been very busy. A maintain under those circumstances is a good
thing.
